Episode 4 puts Jack in a position where he has a choice to make.
When Jack reveals to Mike and Jim that they are bringing in mining equipment via the shipments and that he needs to go to London to speak to a businessman regarding the companies out there, he is dropped. Mike believes Jack is too emotionally close to the details. He has a point. Mike orders Jack back to DC. Meanwhile, Marcus, who was left out in the jungle, ends up at gunpoint from a random kid, who runs off. He is still not safe.
Of course, Jack has no intention of going back to DC. He asks Senator Mitchel for authorization to re-route him to London.
Jack Ryan Season 2, Episode 4, “Dress to Kill”, puts Gloria in a dangerous position. President Reyes turns up at her house with General Ubarri. Reyes offers Gloria the position of Minister of Interiors and Justice and claims she’s overestimating the polls. She politely disagrees with his assessment.
Jack Ryan is now in London, but he is quickly stopped in his tracks by Lee, who claims Max is in the city and his life is in danger. Jack teams up with Jeremy from MI5, who calls Lee by another name — Harry. At this point, I checked out IMDb and her full name is Harriet ‘Harry’ Baumann. They meet a businessman named Rupert Thorne (Anthony Head) to discuss businesses protecting the shipments. Rupert knows who Max is, but a different name and he discloses that Max introduced him to a shell company in Venezuela.
Meanwhile, in Episode 4, Jim meets Gloria and suggests that her husband’s disappearance is linked to the shipment containers. Jim attempts to throw an olive branch to Gloria who is skeptical of Americans, ensuring that they can help each other.
And Gloria realizes that she will soon have to side with the Americans; someone makes a threat to one of her children by handing her daughter a shell casing. Gloria visits Jim and asks for help. Jack Ryan Season 2, Episode 4 brings the politics to the boiling point.
As Jack and Jim unravel details from both sides of the continent, President Reyes asks Mateo Bastos to use the new satellite technology that allows them to see through the jungle canopy. Bastos’ task is to use the technology to find the Americans, and kill them. Meanwhile, in London, Jack believes that they are using satellite technology to find out where to dig for resources.
It becomes apparent that Max is definitely in London in Episode 4; Jack and his newly formed London team try and track him down, but Max sends someone else in a restaurant acting like him. As soon as they realize it isn’t him, Max snipes and kills Rupert from afar. Jack tries to chase Max down in a thrilling chase, but he escapes.
Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan Season 2, Episode 4 “Dress to Kill” ends with Max looking through photos. He soon realizes that Jack Ryan is in the company of Harry.
