Episode 2 opens up with Jules (Kat Dennings) attempting to do some exercise — a typical post-break-up activity to get your life back. The fitness app teases Jules, asking if she has been dumped recently, and to add more steps to her regime. When she makes it home, her ex is there. Although he promised to stay away from the house until she finds a new place, he was to watch Sunday Football. I mean, I get it.

Jules sees the cat lady again, who forces her to call Madison. Jules joins Madison and her friends for a posh brunch, where a weird vibe ensues. Jules opens up about Jeremy and her living situation. Stella and Madison argue about what she should do next; Stella reckons Jules should go traveling, while Madison believes she should find a nice apartment.

It didn’t take long for Jules to make up with Madison, but she’s also forming a friendship with Stella. While Madison takes Jules apartment hunting, Jules is self-conscious about texting Stella, not wanting to cause a rift. While assessing her finances for a new apartment, Madison learns that Jules has never asked for a pay rise, and encourages her to confront her boss.

When Jules returns home, Jeremy is once again in the house — it’s Monday Night Football. Again, I get it. Izzy offers the extra bedroom to Jules, and she accepts but learns that she is “extra” and creepy about the whole roomie dynamic. Izzy is also invasive, using Jules’s phone and responds to Madison and Stella about their recent rift and puts them all in a group chat. When Jules learns of this, she falls over and ends up in the hospital.

We learn in the hospital that Madison is seeing someone who works there. Madison has a breakdown about how terrible she is in being part of friendship groups and claims she should be alone, but Stella and Madison disagree and lift her mood up.

Dollface Season 1, Episode 2, “Homebody” closes with Jules finding a new place to rent, and her friends come round to help and have lunch together. Jules finally has some of her life back.
