We pick up where we left off in “Left-Hand Path”, with Molly possessed by the Corvus phone, which is bad news since she also has superpowers. But with some teamwork, she’s able to be separated from the device, which is subsequently destroyed.
Nico, meanwhile, still looking good despite a night of debauchery, wakes up in a pile of bodies. Robert is exceptionally pathetic now, and Tina has been committed to a psychiatric facility, where she’s kept heavily sedated by one of Morgan’s acolytes. Robert takes Nico to see Morgan, and it’s clear the Staff of One is part of her plans.
Marvel’s Runaways Season 3, Episode 7 thankfully has Karolina confront Nico about what she’s doing getting mixed up with Morgan, given how often decisions like that have backfired in the show’s history. It has something of an impact. Nico goes to see Tina at the psychiatric hospital, where she poses as one of Morgan’s witches to get inside and facilitate an escape. Chase and Gert, meanwhile, try and fail to use Alex’s computer in his absence, but they’re able to make a warning video about the Corvus and get it on social media.
Geoffrey, meanwhile, goes to see Morgan in “Left-Hand Path”, still desperate to see Alex, and Morgan lets him know he can do so just so long as he dons a special pendant which even someone who has never seen a TV show could guess the function of. Nonetheless, we get some confirmation when Tina breaks the same pendant worn by Robert, thus freeing him of Morgan’s control.
Inspired by his newfound freedom, Robert tries to help out by rifling through Morgan’s things, but he’s eventually caught and badly wounded. Meanwhile, Molly has it out with Leslie, now back to being the divine figurehead of Gibborim, about the death of her parents, and Victor, Stacey and “human computer virus” Janet try to figure out a way around the kids’ tech issues.
Disaster strikes, obviously. Geoffrey, now wearing the pendant, interrupts Pride and turns on them; Molly reveals her powers to Bodhi, the church boy she has fallen for, and he snitches on her to Morgan’s supermodel witches; and Robert dies, though before he does so he’s able to give Nico his glasses, telling her to see the world as he did. This turns out to be a very unsubtle hint. He recorded everything.
As Chase, Gert, Karolina, Dale, Stacey, and Victor all find themselves Morgan’s captives, Marvel’s Runaways Season 3, Episode 7 ends with a pretty major cliffhanger. Nico casts a spell and accidentally summons Cloak and Dagger.
