How does Love, Victor season 1, episode 6, “Creekwood Nights” open?
Episode 6 begins with Victor messaging Simon confirming he and Mia are officially in a relationship — “She’s basically my favorite person to hang out with”. Meanwhile, Mia tells Lake that Victor likes to take things slowly but she’s ready to take things to the next level. Lake advises Mia to send a sexy message to Victor. Victor sends a thumbs up to the heated text so Lake takes her phone and writes a message for Mia that suggests sex.
If I can, you can
At the coffee shop, Victor tells Benji to rearrange his first date for a 1-year anniversary with Derek. Victor tells Benji that Mia wants to take things to the next level but he’s a virgin. Benji says he was able to have sex with girls before he came out as gay so he tells Victor that he will be fine. Love, Victor season 1, episode 6, “Creekwood Nights” shows how complicated things are becoming for Victor.
Operation no hanky-panky
Meanwhile, Mia tells Lake that this isn’t her “first time”. Victor shows up with Felix at Mia’s house as a distraction. He tells Mia that she looks nice and apologizes that Felix showed up but she isn’t happy. Victor tells Felix that he can tell that Mia is annoyed so goes to check up on her.
1-year anniversary
Benji has his 1-year anniversary with Derek, taking Victor’s advice of recreating their first date. When Benji mentions it is their anniversary, Derek says, “Anniversary? What are we straight people now?” and starts discussing how they don’t have to conform to heterosexual norms. Derek wants to go to the show so Benji asks him to go ahead while he cleans up.
Stop being cruel
Lake tells Victor that Mia is upset and that the cr*p he’s pulled tonight is cruel and questions whether he has someone else or if he’s gay. Victor storms in Mia’s bedroom and starts kissing her. Meanwhile, Lake is upset because boys are rating her a “6” on social media and asks Felix what number she is. Felix says that she deserves a guy that doesn’t reduce her to a number; a guy that thinks she matters. They end up kissing and Lake wants to keep it a secret.
I want to take things slow
Back in the bedroom and Victor needs a minute in the bathroom to prepare himself. Mia asks “Is it me? Am I not attractive to you”? Victor admits that he is not ready and that back where he is from, they are more old-fashioned. Mia is understanding and is fine with going slow. Love, Victor season 1, episode 6, “Creekwood Nights” sees the reality hitting Victor — he’s clearly not attracted to her.
