Summary
“Think Different” finds MyDrugs a runaway success, but one that is perhaps too lucrative for Moritz to let go of — even if his associates want out.

In case you’d forgotten what went on in this sneaky German success story last year, “Think Different” opens with a typically unconventional reminder. Global news broadcasts chart the colossal rise of MyDrugs. Moritz, aka m1000, has become a generational idol, the elusive mastermind behind an operation that has just made its first million Euros — or, thanks to the volatility of Bitcoin, its first 994,000-ish Euros.
Moritz, Lenny, and Dan are, they insist, getting out of the international drug trade, which seems a good idea since Daniel is an idiot — according to Moritz, he is to MyDrugs what Hawkeye is to the Avengers. Moritz is happily back with Lisa and has a very strict policy of the time he spends on MyDrugs and the time he spends with her never, ever overlapping, which seems a recipe for comedic disaster (Gerda, it seems, was in the market for a different kind of partner, if you were wondering.)
A theme that begins to emerge very early in How to Sell Drugs Online Fast season 2, episode 1 is the work-life balance, which is especially complicated since the “work” in this case is highly illegal international drug-dealing, and the life is fraught with anonymous Discord chats and pinging hormones. Lenny has been catfishing a girl with pictures of Daniel and Moritz is attracting somewhat ironic sexual attention on the back of his m1000 reputation. As for the former, Lenny asks Dan to attend their first date in his place and has to brief him on recent nerd ephemera so that he can convincingly pass as Lenny. Moritz visits the base of operations in Amsterdam, ostensibly to resign from MyDrugs, but instead ends up delivering an in-depth presentation on the future of the business.
“Think Different” makes a real meal of “Lenny’s” date with Kira. She thinks it’s the first time anyone has ever looked better in real life than they do online. But Lenny’s obvious presence at another table tips her off to what’s really going on, which turns out to be great news for Lenny, if not necessarily for the future of MyDrugs.
Then again, Moritz roaming around with a rucksack full of drugs isn’t great for the business either, especially since he takes the package to Lisa’s house, where her dad is frolicking with his new girlfriend. Neither is the fact that Moritz lies to Lenny and Dan about being unable to quit the business without being killed by their suppliers — he claims they have to continue until they reach 15 million Euros, five each, and that they’ve been asked to come up with a fake business in order to launder the money. His associates believe him. And thus we have our second season setup.
Oh, and a last-minute cliffhanger, since the end of How to Sell Drugs Online (Fast) season 2, episode 1 finds Lisa moving in with Moritz, which is as much of a surprise to him as anyone else.
