The opening
Julie is feeling on top of the world with her revitalised music life. The beginning of the chapter is like a music video as Julie goes through the school singing and dancing with all the students. This obviously never happened but it reflects her mood.
Marketing
When Julie tells Flynn she’s writing songs with Luke, Flynn believes she has a crush on the band member. Flynn makes Julie aware that she’s playing at a school disco — Flynn is acting as the marketing manager.
Move objects
Alex is enjoying time with his new friend Willie. They head to an art museum while it’s shut. Willie skates around the place. Willie then shows Alex how he can move objects as a ghost.
Our legacy has been stolen
Luke shows Julie one of their songs but she claims she knows it and that it’s a Trevor Wilson song. She shows them a photo and the band state that it is their ex-bandmate Bobby who never dies 25 years ago. Luke realizes that Bobby used all his songs. Julie then reveals that Bobby is Carrie’s father. The band is downbeat that Bobby has used their songs and is now wealthy. Luke feels their legacy has been stolen. The ghosts want to get revenge. Julie and the Phantoms Episode 4 brings a new motive for the ghosts who were starting to become ornaments in the story.
Their first haunting
The ghosts head to Bobby’s house and want to haunt him. Alex doesn’t want to rush it as it’s their first time haunting someone but Reggie and Luke disagree. Flynn and Julie also head to the house. Carrie sees them both and wonders why they are at her house.
The ending
The band starts haunting Bobby by turning the shower on and writing his name on the mirror. Bobby flees as he’s scared and heads to his therapist on a helicopter. Willie shows the band “The Hollywood Ghost Club” which is for members only. Willie asks Caleb if his new ghost friends can join the club and although Caleb says yes, it’s a little strange how the ghost is acting. Meanwhile, Julie and Flynn are waiting for the band to arrive at the school disco. Episode 4, “I Got the Music” gives the ghosts a new reality as they learn what has happened in the last 25 years. The story is slightly getting sillier but at this point, you can only hope it continues with its mature themes.
