Summary

Episode 7 spends too long slowing down the momentum which does not work in its favour.

We recap Netflix’s Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous Season 1 Episode 7, “Last Day of Camp,” which contains significant spoilers.

An alarm keeps blaring in Jurassic World. It’s an evacuation announcement. The group needs to find a way to get to the evacuation point quickly. That answer arrives quickly as they find a monorail. They still need to avoid pesky dinosaurs though. As the group reaches the monorail, one of the dinosaurs finds them. Darius (Paul-Mikél Williams) has to save Yasmina (Kausar Mohammed), but eventually, they ride the monorail.

Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous Season 1 Episode 7 Recap

Darius tells everyone that they’ve made it and they will be going home. They all celebrate together and raise a toast “To not getting eaten”. Brooklyn questions if they are friends which puts a downbeat mood on the conversation. They’ve been thrown together but they understand they wouldn’t have been friends if it wasn’t for this situation. This is a rather strange mood to have after just surviving near-death.

Darius talks about his father and their dreams to visit Jurassic World. Kenji tries to put a positive spin on it by saying at least his father didn’t see how much of a dumpster fire Jurassic World is. He also shares how he doesn’t really have a bond with his father.

But episode 7 proves that the campers got ahead of themselves as more danger lurks.

Ben then opens up about how his mother thought the camp would be a good experience to face his fears. His speech is short-lived as the monorail is under attack. Flying reptiles are hitting the monorail because they are attracted to lights. Darius starts smashing out the lights.

Ending Explained

They also need to change the course of the monorail or they’ll hit something. Ben gets on the roof and asks the group to distract the reptiles — he reaches the control car and changes the course of the monorail. As Ben gets back into the main part of the monorail, a reptile grabs him. Darius grabs him by his hand and it looks like he is about to let go.
