Summary

The opening
“Fideo” opens in 1989. The new guitarist Chris arrives to hit the road. Abraham doesn’t like him because he has a bad feeling. That doesn’t change how much Selena is attracted to him. She’s nervous when around him. Because of Abraham’s complaints, the women do Chris’s hair to “clean him up”.
Touring and finding that new song
The family gets back to touring, and Chris cannot stop looking at Selena on the stage. Meanwhile, albums are selling well. AB has a brilliant idea for a new song, but then he loses the idea due to tiredness.
Not on my watch
In the middle of the night, Abraham catches the men drinking late in their room. AB tells Abraham that they need to blow off steam. Abraham tells him that they can’t blow off steam on his own watch and reminds AB that they need new songs now. “Fideo” shows how Abraham does not let the band be adults — it’s all work, work, work.
I’m dried up
On the tour bus, Chris and Selena keep singing romantic songs to each other. AB tells them to stop as he’s trying to concentrate. He’s under pressure and feels he has dried up.
Selena wins the awards three years in a row. Abraham asks AB if he has new stuff and AB tells him he does, but there are concerns on his face.
A stroll on the beach
Chris catches Selena on the beach. Selena asks him about the tour, but Chris explains he just likes to play the guitar. Selena talks about her dreams to sell clothes, jewelry, and records. Suzette watches them from a distance; she knows they have a problem and asks Selena about it. Selena denies anything is happening between her and Chris; Suzette reminds her that he’s in the band and that their father will freak out. This fear of their father is kind of tragic; they are unable to meet new people most of the time; they bond the most with the band.
Do you like Selena?
Selena asks AB if Chris likes her and wants her brother to ask him. AB is worried about losing a guitar player, but he asks Chris anyway. Chris gets nervous and doesn’t answer. AB takes that as a yes.
New ideas
Eventually, AB has new ideas for songs, and he gets to work. Meanwhile, Marcella tells Abraham that he needs to rest, but he can’t stop thinking. His wife wants them to start enjoying their success.
The ending
After a performance, Chris and Selena catch up. Selena says she missed him recently. She kisses him, and he kisses her back. Their hook up is interrupted as Abraham shouts for the entire band — he’s found a spliff on the bus and gets rid of one of the band members. The next day, Selena tells Chris she doesn’t want to lie to her father or get him fired. They agree to be friends. But you can tell that it is unrealistic.
