Summary
“Love, Sara” drips twists to the audience one at a time to maintain the mystery, and so far, it works.
This recap of Netflix’s Who Killed Sara? season 1, episode 3, “Love, Sara”, contains spoilers.
It’s clear at this point that the Netflix series is going to throw the audience down many paths, and the end is not going to hit the answer; Who Killed Sara? is purposefully giving the audience snippets of answers, so the twists are more shocking; the key is to maintain the mystery.
“Love, Sara” begins with a flashback; Sara and friends have a summer’s night party. A woman named Marifer has hots for Chema, but Sara looks over at him and suspects that he has a secret — they both give each other a look.
Pizza and drinks
Episode 3 continues with the narrative of Elisa, the investigator, though she’s slightly undermined by the fact she’s attracted to Álex.
In the present day, Elisa and Álex drink shots together, and there’s sexual tension between them as they do their shots. As Álex checks up on the pizza man, Elisa tries scoping the place out. She asks a lot of questions, but it’s clear they are suspicious of each other while wanting to have sex at the same time.
Elisa checks out Álex’s computer and sees her mother Mariana; her phone has been hacked. Álex turns it off and offers pizza. When Elisa returns home, she checks out her mother’s phone and places it in water to break it.
Diane the Huntress is insistent that Rodolfo is innocent
The next day, Álex asks Diane the Huntress why they believe Rodolfo was not culpable for the parachute the day his sister died. They explain that Rodolfo was nowhere near the parachute on the day and is innocent. Álex asks Diane the Huntress if they are Rodolfo, but they send a picture of a knife back.
Past from the mail
Mariana receives mail in the post, and it’s a rusty old knife, the same knife she threw in the water — the same knife that tampered with the parachute before Sara used it.
Confront Elroy
Elisa asks Elroy (the person who manages the casino) if they know anything about Sara. He becomes shaken by the conversation, but Elisa asks why Rodolfo would murder Sara when he was completely in love with her. Elroy ends the conversation stating that Àlex did it.
Chema had a crush on Álex
Who Killed Sara? season 1, episode 3 gives Chema a motive from when he was younger.
Chema sees Àlex and drives off, so Álex follows him. Flashbacks show Chema and Álex having a threesome with Marifer. Chema tries to touch Álex, but he tells him to get off him. In the present day, Álex tells Chema to get out of the car, and he asks where the videos from when they were younger. Álex asks for the videos before walking off. Chema tells Álex that he’s happy he’s out of prison and denies knowing who Diane the Huntress is. Further flashbacks show Chema recording Álex in the shower, and Sara catches him. She tells him that he’s so screwed.
The ending
Elisa continues snooping around Álex’s place. As she looks around, Álex returns home, and Elisa acts normal and pretends she was returning the tequila. Álex is wondering why she’s in his home, but Elisa kisses him. Álex gets a little rough, so Elisa asks him to calm down to make it a more intimate experience, and they have sex.
Afterward, Álex asks Elisa for the truth and calls her by her real name — she knows she’s part of the family. He tells her the horrific experiences he went through because of her family and says she can no longer get in his house through the window.
As the episode ends, it’s revealed that there’s a magazine in Chema’s house that says “Diane the Huntress”, meaning it’s either Chema or his boyfriend, Lorenzo.

- Rodolfo’s son Bruno is having problems at school because social media makes out that his father is a murderer. Cesar wants to teach Bruno a lesson in how to defend himself.
- Cesar meets with the man that is trafficking women. They are partners and seem to have an understanding. Cesar enters a room that’s full of naked women.
