Due to Álex’s latest ploy, the casino and Cesar’s reputation is in tatters in the media. Everything is falling apart, with a strong possibility that if Rodolfo becomes CEO, Sara’s case will be reopened. Cesar knows this cannot end well. Meanwhile, Álex is with the Lazcano siblings at the estate. Rodolfo claims he trusted his father and did not know he had set Álex up. There’s plenty of home truths for the siblings in episode 7. Álex tells the siblings that it’s up to them if they want to stop him. Episode 7 puts Álex in a strange situation where he’s colluding with the Lazcano siblings in a strong turn of events.
Who made Sara pregnant?
Rodolfo asks Álex who made his sister Sara pregnant; Álex doesn’t want to tell him. Álex asks Chema for the videos he had because they had vital information of the day Sara was murdered. Chema gets defensive and walks off. The siblings have to start accepting that their father is a criminal after avoiding the truth for years. The story is entering a new phase, where it’s the family/Álex versus Cesar.
Fear and guilt
The last few episodes have dealt with guilt heavily, but now the story returns to this unparalleled thirst for revenge. Álex looks at footage of Cesar trashing up his place — he sees it as ‘fear and guilt’. Elisa questions how far Álex is willing to go, especially with her father being embarrassed in the media. Álex explains that it wasn’t just he and Sara that was hurt, but his mother too.
Flor’s father
It’s not just Álex who wants revenge; “Quien mato a Sara” shows how lucky he got in prison to make an acquaintance after the same thing.
In prison, in a flashback, Álex was given a safety deposit box by a useful acquaintance; inside the box is information to bring the family down. In the present day, Álex looks into the passports of two women, Flor and Imara — sex-trafficked women. Flor died 12 years ago; she was bludgeoned to death. Cesar had the passports of both women. It’s Flor’s father that he met in prison.
The ending
Being at the Lazcano estate brings back traumatic memories for Álex, who keeps on seeing visions of his sister dying. He dives into the water, reliving the experience.
