Summary

Nailed It! is not just your average baking show. It’s about embracing yourself and having fun! We are loving the diversity that is represented throughout the show.

This review of the Netflix reality series Nailed It! season 6 does not contain spoilers.

Nailed It! is back with our first-ever black woman to be Emmy nominated for outstanding host for a reality or competition program, Nicole Byer, and our one and only sweet chocolatier and expert pastry man, Jacques Torres. Alongside various celebrities as the guest judges, Nailed It! once again tempts to challenge three amateur bakers to win $10,000 for baking their very own cakes. For the sixth season, we got 6 episodes that run around 35 minutes each. If you’re looking for a feel-good, positive vibe, and a hilarious show, then Nailed It! is something you need!

Well… This is still Nailed It!, where the cakes aim to be historical but end up hysterical. As Jacques Torres says, all of the contestants are such a treasure! Nailed It! still uses the same formula and concept that is staying true to its core while exploring various themes in each episode that makes it more exciting! From paw-buddies, paranormal themes, Mr. Chocolate, history of the Black Woman, to a gardening theme. I truly dig the show. It’s absolutely hilarious! Probably something I’d love to binge-watch each time I’m feeling under the weather.

The host, celebrity guest, and contestants are throwing funny comments mixed with raw, genuine reactions here and there that create a vibrant and lively atmosphere. Not to mention the theatrical, meme-able, and comical editing that really adds more flavor to our good laugh. The interesting part is, although some of the cakes turn into a total catastrophe and dazzling disaster, there’s no bad intention and disrespectful ambiance. Everything is fun and entertaining. It’s the kind of competition where you’re in to have a good time and just vibe rather than competing against each other. And I think that’s why we all love Nailed It!.

Other than the entertainment element, I need to say that all the cakes made by the professionals are enchanting! Although the contestant is an amateur baker and makes everything from scratch, all of them manage to complete all of the challenges in their own unique way which says something about the show. l also love the diversity that Nailed It! tries to bring out throughout the show. From the judge’s panels to the diversity in communities that join the show as contestants. I think it is what makes the show charming. Like a sprinkled colored candy with lots of glitters. As Nicole says, “More glitters, more fun!”

Overall, Nailed It! once again… Nailed it!
