I Know What You Did Last Summer season 1, episode 7 recap

So after the events of episode 6, Clara and Dylan are in the cave with the dead Riley. Meanwhile, Margot is still suspicious of Dylan, but Allison doesn’t buy it. As for the town, Lyla has set up a search team to find Riley. The community is worried. Lyla asks Bruce about Clara, but he has no idea where she is.

Allison rings her mother, but she isn’t interested in talking. She tells her not to contact her again. In the background, Allison can hear her mother’s new family, including Fred, which emotionally impacts her. She speaks to Margot about it. Allison then meets her father, and she wants help to find Dylan. She also reveals that Riley is dead.

Bruce tells the police to head to the caves to find Clara. Lyla finds the area where the rituals have been performed. She sees a dead Riley covered in honey, but the biggest surprise is that Clara is dead too. Apparently, she suffocated from the honey. Dylan returns, and he tells Margot and Allison that it’s over. He reveals he was in the cave and Clara was there. He lies and says he escaped. Later on, when the recent deaths are grieved, Dylan says, “at least their souls are free of pain.” I mean, it’s pretty apparent he’s the “sus” one by now.

Episode 7 then moves three weeks later. Margot has left rehab, and she’s excited to be reunited with Allison. There are summer party vibes in the air. The characters believe the past is behind them as they attend a small fair. Dylan, Allison, and Margot head to the beach late at night. Dylan and Allison strip and head into the sea. Margot receives a phone call from her mother. She’s waiting nearby, so she has to go. Allison decides to stay behind with Dylan.

Dylan drives Allison home after fun in the sea. Allison goes in for a kiss, but Dylan doesn’t meet her halfway, so they say their goodbyes. As Allison lays on her bed, she hears someone in her window. She’s scared, but it’s Dylan. They kiss each other, and Allison lets Dylan into her room. It gets intense between them, and Dylan double checks that she wants sex. Allison assures him that she wants to have sex, so she grabs a condom for him. They have sex, and Allison looks at Dylan lovingly and says, “I can’t believe this is finally happening,” and gets on top of him.

Allison asks Dylan if it was better than last time (because he had sex with Lennon). Allison tells Dylan who she really is — that she’s not Lennon, but Allison. Dylan thinks she’s messing with his head and gets irritated. Allison tells Dylan how she wore her sister’s coat that night and pretended to be her. Dylan is furious and says he did a lot of things because of her but didn’t clarify. He tells her she isn’t the Allison he knew. As Dylan storms off, he says he set Clara free.

The ending

A couple of things happen to end episode 7.

Late in the night, Margot is thrown from the second floor of her home through the patio door windows by an unknown person. She ends up in the hospital, and they believe she tripped up over her dog. Allison visits her, and she has a nasty scar on her face. Margot tells Allison that someone pushed her, but she didn’t tell the truth as her mother would send her to rehabilitation again.

As the episode reaches a close, the twin’s mother meets Bruce and says, “you should have told me our daughter died.” Dylan is in the cave again. Afterward, he heads to the police station; he wants to speak to the police chief.
