Episode 7 presents itself as the stage-setter for the finale. It delves into Nicole’s potential end of life and the evil that is brewing that Dion will have to face eventually. It’s not a bad penultimate chapter at all.
Raising Dion season 2, episode 7 recap
Episode 7 opens up with Pat struggling to stay alive after injecting himself with the untested Powered DNA strands. Suzanne and the medical team get to work to help him. As they do, Pat’s electricity radiates inside him. The doctor notes that he’s in a coma, but he’s giving off surges.
As for Nicole, she hesitates to take the third dose of the serum, and she puts it down instead. She knows the last dose marks the end of her life. She wakes up Dion, but he’s in a downbeat mood, and understandably — his mother is going to die after all, and he wants to spend time with her. This part of the story isn’t delivered well at all. It doesn’t have enough emotion.
Wanting a life for Dion when she’s gone, Nicole asks Janelle’s mother Simone to help out at BIONA when she’s gone and keep an eye on Dion. But then, she alarms Simone by warning her of the dangerous threat looming.
Feeling frightful, Simone tells her daughter that Nicole is dying and danger is heading their way. She wants to flee, but her daughter Janelle strongly disagrees. She wants to help the cause, and rightly so. Nicole has done a lot for her since their introduction.
The ending
The school show is preparing itself in episode 7, which will star solos from Dion and Esperanza. Tevin and Nicole go together, solidifying their romance. Before the show, Dion is struggling, and his head is being terrorized by Brayden, who keeps entering it. Wanting to end this brewing war, Dion tells Brayden to meet him on the football field. When he looks out on the football field, Brayden has an army of monsters behind him.
As for Suzanne, she gives Kat an update; Kat tells her that Pat cannot die because they need to find a cure for Nicole.

Additional notes
- Fernando asks Janelle if she wants to “hang out” at the school show. She says yes.
- David Marsh presents to the board his idea of tailored superpowers for the future. He asks for funding, but the board mocks him for this idea and thinks he’s out of his mind.
