Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce) season 3, episode 4 recap
Episode 4 opens up with Seo Ban paying his respects to the deceased Song Won; they crossed paths a couple of times. Ga-bin and A-mi tell the family they will help out in their time in need, but they wonder where Hye-ryung is. The funeral was devastating, with Sa-hyeon and others in absolute distraught.
Dong-mi wants to hold a ritual for her deceased husband, but A-mi thinks differently; she thinks they should live with the spirit and that Dong-mi should apologize to him. Her husband’s spirit continues to haunt her — this is such an absurd storyline.
Seo Ban and Si-eun continue bonding, and they agree how they should greet each other, dropping the honorifics; they celebrate Seo Ban’s birthday, and Si-eun brings him food, and he loves it.
Later on, Pi-young and Hye-ryung have arranged a surprise birthday party for Seo Ban. When Seo Ban makes a wish and blows out the candles, he thinks about a lifetime with Si-eun. However, at the surprise dinner, Hye-ryung continues to make her moves on him, but it isn’t working. Sensing that he needs to stand firm for Si-eun, Seo Ban tells the table that he and Si-eun click well and are an official item. Hye-ryung is devastated, but Pi-young is supportive. As the evening ends, Seo Ban and Si-eun enjoy a hug. Si-eun looks peaceful in Seo Ban’s arms.
The ending
However, as episode 4 ends, there is more trouble afoot. When Seo Ban gets home, his brother Dong-ma tells him he should end it with Si-eun; he thinks their father would be disappointed, thinking of generational wealth.
Fearing her husband’s spirit, Dong-mi prays to him and asks for forgiveness. The husband does not believe her lies, but Dong-mi admits that 40 years of being with the same man took its toll. But as the episode ends, the spirit possesses Seo Ban, and he uses his body to seduce Dong-mi. Bonkers.

- At the doctor’s surgery, Dong-ma hears Pi-young scream in one of the rooms but is unsure why.
