Next Time On… Moon Knight season 1, episode 6
The latest episode of Moon Knight was its best yet, a visual treat that also doubled as poignant psychoanalysis of Marc Spector’s varied traumas and coping mechanisms. It leaned more into the oddball mythological underpinnings of the character than any previous episode, and indeed any previous small-screen offering in the MCU, and it laid the groundwork for Moon Knight season 1, episode 6 to really bring this freshman season home next week. From my latest recap:
As ever, it’s a particular trauma at the root of Marc’s fractured psyche (we learn that Marc is indeed the dominant, original personality.) After the death of his brother, for which Marc has retained a lot of guilt, his blameful mother began to abuse him physically and emotionally. He created the Steven Grant persona by plucking his name from a film poster and hid behind it to separate himself from the pain. That eventually resulted in the creation of a completely distinct persona.
Below is everything we know about the upcoming finale.

Moon Knight plot and trailer
A former U.S. Marine, struggling with dissociative identity disorder, is granted the powers of an Egyptian moon god. But he soon finds out that these newfound powers can be both a blessing and a curse to his troubled life.
Predictions and preview for Moon Knight season 1, episode 5:
- It seems unlikely given how consistently charming Steven has been that Marc would leave him behind in the endless sands, but how is he planning on getting him back? Will he be able to find some kind of internal balance with Steven?
- I’m assuming that making it through to the happy afterlife means that Marc will also find a means of resurrection. If this really was a limbo caused by Harrow shooting him, he’s going to need some kind of intervention to return to his mortal shell.
- I expect Jake Lockley to be properly teased — if not completely revealed — in the finale.
