Locke and Key season 3, episode 3 recap

Kinsey and Bode go to inspect the broken bars in the well, and they question who could have done the damage. When she is alone, Kinsey looks into the well and spots Eden’s body. Shortly afterward, Zadie, Doug, and Abbey ask what they should do with Erin’s body. One of them suggests pouring acid down there, but Kinsey then says she knows what they need to do. Elsewhere, Bode accuses Nina of forgetting about his Dad. So, Nina uses the Head key so Bode can relive one of the memories. But when Nina makes them leave rather quickly, Bode throws a tantrum.

Kinsey, Abbey, Zadie, and Doug, take Eden’s body out for a send-off; and Kinsey then sings a song. And then, they chuck Eden into the ocean. When Ellie returns to work, she hears two teachers gossiping about her disappearance and supposed mental breakdown. Ellie confronts one of the teachers, Cindy, and puts her straight before storming out of the school. At the museum, Tyler recognizes the outfit as being the same item of clothing that one of the “intruders” were wearing the night he found them rummaging in the house. Captain Frederick Gideon goes to the museum and stumbles across Josh, and tries to find out where the missing items are.

The Ending

When Captain Frederick Gideon learns that the missing items are now stored in the library, he, James, and Samuel take back their items and kill one of the library’s workers. Tyler goes to the police station and learns that Kinsey never reported the break-in. Back at the house, Bode finally finds the Timeshift Key; whilst Nina goes into her memories and ruins Christmas by being too drunk. Kinsey violates Nina by dropping in on her memories. Nina wants to relive the memories as they’re different from how she remembered them. But Kinsey tells Nina to stop torturing herself.

Tyler confronts Kinsey over not reporting the “break-in”. And Bode uses the Timeshift key. He transports to when Dodge and Eden tried to kidnap. But as Bode becomes full of himself and tells Dodge and Eden that he is from the future and he knows that they lose, has he changed everything for the worse? The third episode of Locke and Key ends with Dodge following Bode into the present timeline; soon after, Dodge traps Bode and takes over his body.

Even though Bode is one of the good characters in Locke and Key, it’s good to see him get trapped. By being bratty towards Nina and refusing to listen, he may have caused a lot of trouble for his family.
