Later on, Dania knocks on Nora’s door and offers her sympathies and some baked goods. The woman admits to having noticed Vincent having a hard time before his disappearance and is worried that her suggestion he moved out of the family home might have led to him running away.
At Vincent’s school, Avi and Janine learn that his best friend, Benjamin, lied about the boy having been at school the day he disappeared in a misguided attempt at covering for him. Benjamin also explained that the missing teen had a date booked that week with a pretty classmate, Hayley. When they interview the girl, she admits to having no feelings for Vincent and says she only agreed to the date to make her boyfriend jealous. Later on, we learn that Vincent was being viciously bullied online by Hayley’s boyfriend and other classmates.
At Zack’s writing class, he reads out a disturbing piece seemingly written from Vincent’s perspective. Happy to finally receive some praise for his writing, Zack takes Dania out dancing.

The search in the missing boy’s phone reveals he’s been getting some strange texts from a burner phone number, including “That should have never happened.” He also received a rather disturbing text from his sister wishing him dead.
Avi and Janine ask to speak to Vincent’s sister, Olivia, and ask her about the text. According to Olivia, she didn’t mean anything by her message, it was a part of their healthy sibling love/hate relationship.
When Avi returns to the house, he goes to Vincent’s room and notices the large luggage case from his set is missing. Nora claims she has no idea where the missing case is.
