With Sylvester Stallone in his first TV role, Tulsa King was always banking on being a hit. The fish out of water crime drama arrived with an almost humorous premise, and like most good TV, this show came out of left field and captured the imagination of the audience that tuned in.
With stunning writing, direction, and acting from the entire cast, and a violent yet somehow darkly comic tone, it seems that Tulsa King is a hit, and a second series has been green-lit. However, in one last meta twist, the current first season promised a tenth episode, trouble is nobody seems to know anything about it. So, of course, here at Ready Steady Cut, we are all asking, where is Tulsa King Season 1 Episode 10?
Where is Tulsa King Season 1 Episode 10?
We are still not sure what happened with the missing tenth episode. IMDB has the show listed with 10 episodes, but the last entry is episode 9, Happy Trails. Adding further confusion, episode 9 does play like an episode finale. We get a confrontation between Dwight’s team and Waltrip, and as well as that, we get a flashback that reveals the secrets of Dwight’s past. It feels like a conclusion to the season, but hang on, it’s only episode 9, but everything we knew about the show promised us 10. What’s going on?
How many episodes does Tulsa King Season 1 have?
The first season of Tulsa King is on record for having 10 episodes. However, the tenth episode has yet to surface, and fans are calling out for some information about the season finale. It seems that episode 9 is the final one of this season. However, the good news for the fan base is the show has already been given a second season, so at least we have that to hang on to. But the more we look, the more it seems that episode nine was the final entry.
How Did Tulsa King Season 1 end?
Season 1 of the hit show dropped episode 9 on January 8th, 2023, and did everything it could to tie up all the loose ends that were left hanging. We are treated to a flashback sequence where we find out what happened to Dwight.
There was a final showdown between Dwight’s crew and Waltrip, Dwight arranges for Waltrip’s bank to be emptied of millions of dollars and pays Stacy a retirement package of one million.
In a Home Alone-inspired trap, Dwight sets Waltrip’s men up while Phil Collins plays in the background. resulting in the brutal death of Waltrip.
Three months later, things seem settled, with Dwight enjoying a family gathering. However, in an unforeseen twist, Stacy is given a reprieve by the FBI, and this results in her arresting Dwight during the launch of his new business venture at the end of the episode.
What was the release date for Tulsa King Season 1 Episode 10?
With the release of episode 9 on January 8th, 2023, episode ten should have dropped on Sunday, January 15th, 2023. However, at the time of writing, the elusive episode seems to be the stuff of legend, and it appears unlikely that it exists.
Why is there no episode 10 of Tulsa King Season 1?
Well, we have no accurate concrete information at the time of writing, perhaps some of you out there will be able to hook us up, but there could be a couple of reasons behind the lost tenth. Story-wise, it may have been decided that for the sake of pacing, nine episodes were enough to conclude the first arc.
A tenth episode may have given the writers more time to finish the story, but perhaps there was just not enough material to fill a ninth and tenth episode, and content for a two-episode finale could have been condensed into one to help pacing issues.
How many times have you watched an episode of a show and felt it was just filler? Budget-wise, with the early announcement of a second season, things may have been shaken up to prepare for a second run, and chopping one episode off the first season would help the production team to move forward with a second season. However, this is all guesswork. If you have any ideas, let us know in the comments below.
This show was ok but the acting isn’t good. The show isn’t particularly good but it’s just good enough to allow me to finish it. Has there ever been a more unlikable character than Dwight’s daughter? Please kill her.
How many episodes will season 2 have ?
This series should be like any other, weekly episodes. Finish more seasons and show them accordingly! Premature series showing should not had happened; that’s why you’re missing episodes and fans are restless ? !
Stunning writing, directing and acting? Not hardly.
It’s pretty entertaining but overall very average and rehashes every crime drama cliche’ in the book, and at times ludicrous plot points and story lines.
Great series, Stallone knows how to set up a character. Looking forward to more.
I love Tulsa King!SylvesterStallone is a good actor.I can’t wait for season two.
I enjoyed this show more than I thought I would. Got hooked after 1st episode and now can’t wait for season 2 hopefully it won’t be a long wait
This show was awesome. Anyone hating on this was angry, or upset that the main character was a likable alpha old skool male. That’s just the facts. It’s a crime drama with a nice cheeky side to it. Stallone delivers one of his best performances. And the cast not only “chckecks boxes” without being like “see, they are main characters too!” but has the skill/talent to warrent being there.
Easily one of the better shows out there, and I really hope it changes very little.
What if the 10th episode as filmed wrapped up the series in a neat bow and didn’t leave enough intrigue for a 2nd season. Producers might have made the choice that episode 9 was a more fitting finale and left more storylines to explore.
Once again Stallone Steals the show with his Charisma and Charm! Can’t wait for season #2.
I love this show! Stallone is outstanding and I really like how his recent characters like Dwight and Samaritan are older and wiser, but equally intense and compassionate at the same time. He is loyal and will have your back but do not cross him.
I was really hooked on this show and kept checking and checking for episode 10 and was not happy when January 15th came and went. I initially asked this very same question in a Tulsa King facebook group to find out and it was their most discussed topic. The word on the street is that 2 of the earlier episodes (ep 2 and 3) were combined into 1 episode. As a result, the Episode 10 season finale turned into the Episode 9 season finale.
I also thought there were 10 episodes in season 1. However, if you look at “Tulsa King’s” IMDB page, the episode guide has 2 seasons listed, with 9 episodes for season 1 and 1 upcoming episode for season 2. This is why it has a total of 10 episodes.
This is my new favorite TV show! Stallone is amazing and Max Casella shines along with the rest of the cast!
Is it Shakespeare no. Is good tv yes. Does it sparks and keep you interested, yes. Sly does a great in being a killer and also someone who cares about friends and family. I’m hooked .
I’m sure like most shows they want too continue but because they are unsure if the network will pick up another season episode 10 most likely involved an ending to the show. And because it is such a hit theybdecided to chop it and continue working on the next season.
I agree there’s nothing “stunning” about the show, but it’s definitely watchable. It’s nice to see what Stallone can bring to a TV show as opposed to a movie. I think the ending of “Happy Trails” would have been a great place to end the season. He’s being hauled off to prison, so, happy trails!
I have to agree give us the 10 episode,, we love the show and want more. I looked it up as well and seen that it was to be 10 and all we got was 9. Make it right!!!!
I love this show. STALLONE is Stallone. Wonderful humor. Great acting. Great storyline. Hooked from the start of the show.
Well I won’t to see some more I love it
I never in a million years thought that Sly would ever consider doing TV. Because even during his earliest beginnings he just never did. He would have rather don’t TV and he did a little porn in the beginning but never TV like a lot of the Hollywood box office stars. Do I was a little afraid of “Tulsa KIng”. Thought that Sly was just to big box office for a TV series. Boy was I wrong he’s brought Big BoxOffice to the small screen. Can’t wait to see what will happen next. I was expecting a 1 season and done because of Stallone and his big screen obligations so I’m happy there is a season 2.
Great show. Disappointed no episode 10. Or at the very least season finale. As good as Sopranos. Acting is superb. Love it. Hopefully there will be a season 2 and so forth. Thought the show was well written and the acting was spot on. ?
Absolutely loved the Dwight character and can’t wait for more seasons and episodes!!
I think this show is BETTER than the Sopranos!! Stallone is amazing and captivating! Such a great actor! He’s the total package… Bad Boy, Gangster, James Dean and much more!! I’ve fallen in love with him. He’s such an amazing person & actor and he’s definitely graduated from the child like, adorable intelligently challenged, soft hearted boxer always yelling, “Yo Adrianne!”
I just absolutely love this show, keep them episodes coming.!!!
This show sucked me in so much. But it left me hanging to much loose ends.
This is worse than watching the NFL after Monday night football then you gotta wait till Thursday if there is a game that day or Sunday to watch the greatest game on earth .now the Tulsa king 1 episode a week for 9 weeks . It seemed the week was longer cause I couldn’t wait to see the next episode.come on man get this show back on the screen ,this is torture.getterdone, please ,a release date or something
Didn’t expect to like the show cause I’m not big on Mafia shows. But I loved it! Stallone did a great job!!!!
