We discuss predictions for the Netflix K-Drama series The Interest of Love Season 1 Episodes 15 and 16 and include the release date and where to watch online.

At the end of Episode 14, viewers were given another emotional twist. Ahn Su-yeong (Moon Ga-younghas left town, leaving Ha Sang-su (Yoo Yeon-seokheartbroken and, once again, wondering if he will ever be with the love of his life. It’s another cruel turn in the story, making the audiences wonder if these two characters even deserve each other. They hurt people in the process, after all.

But that’s the sign of a good romance series when you are unclear on how it will end. What will happen in the final week remains a mystery. Here’s a description of what happened at the end of The Interest of Love Season 1 Episode 14:

Episode 14 ends with another emotional twist. The next day, bank colleagues learn that Su-yeong did not turn up at the new branch; she has resigned. Sang-su abruptly leaves work to find her. He heads to her apartment to see removal men. The apartment is completely empty. Sang-su tries to ring her, but her number is no longer in service. She’s disappeared off the face of the earth.

Is this one last obstacle before Su-yeong and Sang-su embrace their romance?

Predictions

  • Sang-su will try and move on with his life but will always ponder over Su-yeong.
  • Maybe the story will move forward a few years.
  • I think it would only be fair if Su-yeong returned to Sang-su rather than Sang-su chasing her.

I keep wondering why I come back and watch this rather cruel love story. I think because it has so many twists and turns. Honestly, at this point, I wish I hadn’t watched it. I didn’t find it fulfilling. This is my honest feeling about the story. The actors are excellent though. The pacing of the drama is slow on purpose but brutal to take long pauses in the dialogue. The actors conveying emotion and confusion without speaking is what makes the drama interesting. It’s a difficult and frustrating story, but the acting is amazing.

This is dragging on and everyone gets hurt because these two (who can barely speak!) are busy screwing up everyone else’s life. It’s over for me. I am disgusted that I wasted time watching them stare at each other.

The female lead is too complex. In real life, she will not bring happiness to the marriage because her way of thinking is convoluted. The male lead is in love with her, steadfast, and faithful, but she puts up barriers all the time. Male lead, find a woman who has a simpler mind and be happy!

This drama is about rather young people learning not to live out so to fulfil others’ expectations. Society and jealous peers expects them to be and behave in whatever way would fulfil their desires and goals. But the protagonists discover along the way that no happiness can ever come from being what others want us to be. They discover themselves and realise that true happiness can only come to us when we make our choices to fulfil our own goals. Love is not about comforming oneself to expectations, but finding oneself in another, the things that we can give and get together.
I think the protagonists will end up together because love wins above anything forced on us. You can’t control who you love and who you don’t love. And the other two knew that our protagonists were not over each other, so they should not have gotten in the middle. They just wanted their way and with love that never works.

I agree that this is a story about self actualization. Su-yeomg was a competent bank employee who would never be promoted or transferred because of her station on life and her lack of a college degree. She has managed to withstand sexual harassment from her boss and rank sexism from the male employees. She is attracted to Sang-su but is disappointed by him early on when he stands her up and is further confused when Mi-young, our rich girl shows up and claims him. mi-young literally tried to buy his love, knowing full well thy he is the product of a single working mother home
BShe holds all the power and it is telling when her mom learns that he is the son of her facialist and believed that her disapproval of the should come first. This is a drama that is heavily ambivalent
And Duyeomg’s relationship with the second male lead, although more socially suitable, also shows the problem with social stratification in that the male second lead is a tad lower in social status than Su-yeomg that creates tension in the relYionship. He is also human and has a secret attraction to the plucky cute girl in his study group. And while it has been said that Mi-young rose in the bank on her own, we see the hand of her rich father in everything she does.

Su-yeomg, we find out, has artistic talent and longs for a university education. I think that it was also established that she has a knack for saving money. After all her “boyfriend” taking the police exam isrd her money. She quit to find agency, to get away from malicious rumors and to get away from the coldness of Seoul. I think she cared for Sanh-su but believed a living relationship would be impossible given the rumor mill. I hope we see a time jump where she runs into Sang-su and they restart the relationship. But if it doesn’t happen I hope we see her as a fulfilled artist. I don’t want to see Sang-su with Mi-young. She needs a chaebol. And I hope secondL passed the police exam and ends up with plucky girl. I am reminded a bit of Misaeng by this drama. There is a crushing elementto S. Korean corporate culture.

The last scene: they end up together on the same beach that brought them happiness before.

I initially liked this series because of the catchy songs. Then the intriguing characters pulled me in along with my wife.
After a few episodes I got tired of the two main characters (I was rooting for the rich girl given her resolute loyalty to the man she loved even his contribution was only 1%). This is the opposite of the usual dramas when the poor girl is bullied by the rich girl. Here, the rich girl and the poor sap of a leading man are both stressed by the conflicted poor girl. I eventually switched to watching “Alchemy of Souls” which had more action and more relatable love story though set in the period era.

Without a shadow of a doubt the most dismal and depressing “drama” I’ve ever watched. Pointless characters that no one can like, predictable plot lines, actors standing looking endlessly at each other without uttering a word. I bet there will be no ending in Episode 16, no conclusion. That will be entirely in keeping with this inexcusable waste of time.
