Whether Ahn Su-yeong (Moon Ga-young) slept with Gyeon-pil was never indeed a question. The character wanted her acquaintances and the viewers to believe that she had slept with the man in a total self-sabotage manner to cut herself away from the situation she was in.
The question remains is, will Ha Sang-su (Yoo Yeon-seok) stand by her regardless? I have my own thoughts on this that many may disagree with. But I believe Sang-su should have walked away. His pride and dignity matter in this situation. It has to stay intact.
But the for the purpose of the story (and the hopeless romantics), it seems Sang-su is standing by Su-yeong no matter what, and we cannot deny that it is sweet.

The Interest of Love Season 1 Episode 14 recap
After recent dramas, Episode 14 opens with Su-yeong drenched from the rain after a bitter argument with Jong-hyeon outside. She then brings a towel to Sang-su, who is outside her apartment. He came to comfort her. Su-yeong wonders why Sang-su does not give up on her and questions if a relationship works between them. Sang-su is ready for any challenge that comes their way.
The truth behind Mi-gyeong and Gyeon-pil’s break-up
Mi-gyeong meets her cousin, and she realizes he actually does know Gyeon-pil. This is the cousin that told Gyeon-pil to break up with Mi-gyeong. Her father asked for this because Gyeon-pil’s father is in prison. They did not want her to be married to someone who is the son of a convict.
Sang-su takes care of a sick Su-yeong
Sang-su checks up on Su-yeong, who appears very sick. He tends to Su-yeong, wiping her down with a cold cloth to help with her fever. And then, realizing how sick she is, he runs to a pharmacy to get her medicine. Episode 14 shows that Sang-su is well and truly in love with Su-yeong. Before Su-yeong wakes up, Sang-su leaves her a house plant and a note.
Su-yeong is transferring bank branch
At work the next day, Gyeon-pil tells Sang-su that Su-yeong is leaving their branch and joining another one. It’s a position transfer. Colleagues congratulate her. Mr. Ha is also leaving, and he’s devastated. Sang-su congratulates Su-yeong on his transfer, but there’s a lot of pain between them that is unspoken.
Su-yeong thanks Sang-su for taking care of her when she was sick and asks if he’s free over the weekend. She wants to treat him to a meal and celebrate her transfer.
Mi-gyeong has dinner with Su-yeong — she admits that she does not like her, which makes Su-yeong smile. She’s always wanted that honesty. Su-yeong apologizes in return and offers her gratitude for everything. And then, Su-yeong meets her parents. They tell her they are leaving because Seoul is too cold for them. Now that she wants them to stay, they are leaving. We are then treated to some flashbacks where Su-yeong tells Jong-hyeon not to give up on his exams no matter what happens.
Su-yeong and Mi-gyeong tell Mi-gyeong’s father that they’ve broken up
As we draw closer to the end, Mi-gyeong has to admit to her father that she is not getting married to Sang-su. Sang-su is also present for this awkward meeting. He apologizes to the father. It’s a somber moment for Mi-gyeong, who is watching her dreams fade away, the dream of being Sang-su’s wife. She finally gives Sang-su an emotional goodbye. A goodbye she never wanted, but she had no choice but to let him go. Sang-su sheds tears too, knowing he’s hurt a perfectly good woman in his life. He shares some blame for how it turned out, but hurting someone can be equally painful as the person who is hurt.
The Interest of Love Season 1 Episode 14 Ending Explained
Afterward, Sang-su meets Su-yeong at the restaurant where they both bailed on each other on separate dates. They’ve gone full circle, but this time, neither of them bails. They spend time together through the night and deliberate over the meaning of love. And then it snows to enhance the romance between them. Su-yeong tells Sang-su she’s going to focus on her happiness moving forward. It feels like the perfect date; a date they should have had at the start of the series.
Sang-su drops Su-yeong at home, and he confirms to her that he will still call despite her moving branch. Little did he know that this could have been their last goodbye.
Episode 14 ends with another emotional twist. The next day, bank colleagues learn that Su-yeong did not turn up at the new branch; she has resigned. Sang-su abruptly leaves work to find her. He heads to her apartment to see removal men. The apartment is completely empty. Sang-su tries to ring her, but her number is no longer in service. She’s disappeared off the face of the earth.
Is this one last obstacle before Su-yeong and Sang-su embrace their romance?
