In The Law According to Lidia Poët, the aspirational Lidia faces all opposition; although highly qualified, she is still not allowed to practice law, so she examines the problem from another angle. Her brother Enrico Poët is also a lawyer, and she can follow her destiny as a lawyer through him.

Lidia refuses to accept that she can’t be a lawyer but faces barriers at every turn. Refusing to accept the decisions made for her, she finds solace at her brother Enrico’s home. Lidia manages to practice law and takes on the cases that no one else would, helping out those in the most need but with little means.

Who is Enrico Poët in The Law According to Lidia Poët?

Enrico Poët is Lidia’s only sibling. Despite everyone, including her parents, not wanting Lidia to progress as a lawyer, her brother comes to her aid, allowing her a chance to pursue her profession.

However, it is not long before she proves her worth to her brother, and he realizes she is a brilliant lawyer. Enrico is a constant champion of his sister all through the series.

Was Enrico Poët a real lawyer?

Both the characters of Lidia and Enrico are based on real-life counterparts. However, the Netflix presentation states that Enrico was her only sibling, but in real life, there were another three brothers and two sisters.

He helped her when she was studying, and when she was disbarred, he gave her a job in his firm where she would help many underprivileged people.
