Where was the TV Show Rain Dogs filmed – a breakdown of locations

Location 1 – Bristol

Situated on the river Avon, Bristol is a city, ceremonial county, and unitary authority in England, in the United Kingdom. Bristol has a long history and received a royal charter in 1155. From the 13th to the 18th century, Bristol was considered in the top three cities, after London, in tax receipts. Although the show opens in London, and some location work was done there, the production team made their way to Bristol to film most of the eight episodes.

Location 2 – The Bottle Yard Studios Bristol

Much of the filming for the series was done at this studio in Bristol. The studio is located in Whitchurch Lane, Bristol, and is the largest dedicated film and television studio in the West of England. With eleven stages, eight at this location and three at the second studio the company has opened, the facility also offers a vast five thousand square foot green square available to hire, in case you are thinking of making your own Marvel movie.

Location 3 – Bristol The Hatchet Inn Frogmore Street

A search on social media reveals that The Hatchet Inn was used as a filming location for the show. The Inn is a historic landmark, found on Frogmore Street in Bristol, and some scenes were filmed for the production inside the bar and restaurant. The building has been on this site since 1606, albeit with plenty of restoration.

Location 4 – Wick Road Brislington

Located in East Bristol, some scenes for the show were filmed in a former hairdresser on Wick Road.
