Swarm Season 1 Episode 2 Recap

The year is 2017, and we are in Fayetteville, TN, as we see a man get out of his car to head into a strip club. We see Dre dancing on the stage, where a man drops a few bills as they try to conversate. She asked about “Reggie,” and the man said he was out doing some business, and she stormed off. Someone confronts Dre about the song she danced to, a Ni’Jah song; of course, she defends it.

Who is Reggie?

Reggie is the man who tweeted about Marissa and Ni’Jah. In Episode 1, we saw a tweet that Dre looked at on her phone from Reggie Wilkins that stated, “that person got what she deserved. Stupid af,” and he was talking about her sister Marissa.

So Dre is now in a new city on the hunt for Reggie when one of the dancers, Halsey (stage name), knocks on her door. Halsey pushes her to ask about going to eat after her boyfriend, and she has a big argument. So after eating, she takes her back to her boyfriend’s house but wants her to come in with her and offers to pay her to go there. Dre leaves the house after the girl and man start to fight. However, when she gets back to her room, she is there.

Who dies in “Honey”?

Halsey, Halsey’s boyfriend, and Reggie die in Episode 2. After her new friend sleeps, Dre decides to head back to Halsey’s boyfriend’s house and kill him. As she begins to drag his body out back, Halsey comes outside and sees what Dre did. While Dre is scared, Halsey repeatedly kicks her boyfriend’s dead body. Then, she starts to conjure ideas about them fleeing the country together. Finally, Halsey won’t shut up and turns around, and Dre shoots her.

Back at the club, Dre made plenty of money stripping, but one of the girls asks her if she wants to make more money tonight. Dre’s ears perk up, and she says she is down. But, on the drive over, she begins questioning the plan, and they are on their way to a college baseball team down to do anything. So instead of partaking, Dre hides in a bedroom and eats food when someone walks in on her. The boy says he has a girlfriend but asks Dre if he can masturbate to her and offers a hundred, but she says a thousand and won’t stop eating.
