It’s hard to be on one, and it’s hard to watch a movie about one because they almost always crash.
In Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga, there is a relationship that builds the characters and the reason they are on the plane in the first place, which makes it engaging.
Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga Review and Plot summary
A flight attendant and her business partner are on a mission to steal diamonds and free themselves from the clutches of a loan shark. At 40,000 feet in the air, the heist goes horribly wrong and turns into a hostage situation, per the IMDB synopsis.
Ankit (Sunny Kaushal) and Neha Grover (Yami Gautam) meet each other one day and end up hitting it off. They have great chemistry, and they developed a fairly strong relationship.
Ankit is involved with some bad people who Neha remembers extremely well.
As their relationship grows, Ankit shares his secrets with her, and Neha discovers that Ankit has to repay a considerable debt. Neha loves and wants to be with him, so they plan on stealing diamonds worth triple what he owes.
They find out that the diamonds will be smuggled on a commercial flight, and there Neha and Ankit will be able to work two different angles. Since she is a flight attendant and he can be a passenger, the heist is possible.
Is the 2023 movie Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga good?
What director Ajay Singh does is build the tension extremely well. Without the editing and the score, it simply wouldn’t work as well.
For the story to progress, the flashbacks were utilized to show Ankit and Neha’s relationship. The main story is placed in flashbacks instead of the plane, which is different than other films that take place in one setting.
Being able to go back and forth with their relationship while the plane is being hijacked by extremists adds another layer of emotions to their story. In such a short period, both of them have been through so much, so the risk they take on the plane and it going horribly wrong hits harder.

Yami Gautam is incredible in this film, and her performance carries so much of this film. She has to be attentive to Ankit without having any connection to him on the plane, so it’s not suspicious.
She gives a very strong performance and will hold your attention throughout. It may sound confusing because the flashbacks take up half of the runtime, but they are integrated so well into the main story of the heist that it just adds more depth to the situation.
