During the breakup discussion, she told him, “I was gonna leave you right after I saw you.” She also admitted to not treating him as well as she should have.
In a recent interview with Today, Irina explained why the relationship between her and Zack ended: “It wasn’t anything about his looks or anything like that; it was more of the sense of feeling this gut feeling that he wasn’t the person for me.”
And just in case you still had some remnants of hope that these two may find a way to work through their issues in future episodes, Zack himself confirmed he and Irina have nothing to do with each other anymore: “I have not talked to Irina since Mexico. She sent me text messages, but I honestly never responded to any of them.”
