Who are Viral Joshi and Aashay Shah?
Viral hails from Wilmington North Carolina and is an ambitious and independent woman.
Viral is the only child in a Gujarati family, and was very well educated, becoming fond of travelling and succeeding as a medical professional. Her career would lead her to working in the endocrinology department at Wilmington Hospital.
At the time of filming, Viral was thirty years old, and had expressed on the show that she was looking for a significant other and did not just want to be someone’s “other half”.
Viral has a cat named Xena.
Aashay Shah is also in the medical industry and is an optometrist in New York.
Aashay grew up in India and was also ambitious, leaning into his education and although a little less outgoing than Viral, his confidence and personable nature made him a great potential partner for Viral.
During the rock climbing date, Aashay was incredibly patient with Viral, and this initial date seems to have been one of the defining moments in their relationship.
When asked about Viral, Aashay would say that he has not felt such a connection in a very long period of time. He went on to explain that Viral was the first girl he was taking to a wedding as his plus one.

The couple has travelled to a few similar places over the last year, but they also attended the premiere of Netflix’s The Romantics together at The Paris Theatre in New York City, New York, in February 2023. Aashay has posted on his Instagram page about this event.
