We discuss predictions for the Apple TV+ series The Big Door Prize Season 1 Episode 8, including the release date and where to watch online.

In the latest installment of The Big Door Prize, the show focuses on the outlandish character of Giorgio (Josh Segarra), the Italian restaurant owner.

Exploring his backstory and personal demons. Giorgio is in love with Cass (Gabrielle Dennis), and in this episode, he finally makes a move, vying for her love.

Meanwhile, Dusty (Chris O’Dowd) is anxious about his career and the potential for his wife to leave him, deciding to smoke weed with Jacob (Sammy Fourlas) instead.

It’s a fun installment that develops the major characters further. Here’s what happened in The Big Door Prize Season 1 Episode 7:

  • Giorgio prepares for the fundraiser gala. He asks all his staff to reveal their Morpho card results. One individual, Xander, got gum and was forced to work in the back. Trina alters her blank card to say, gondolier. This allows her an easy gig for the event, operating the gondola in the restaurant.
  • Cass dresses for the event. Dusty isn’t taking it seriously enough, though, and they argue. Dusty isn’t sure what the event is really about. Cass reiterates that they are raising money for students to reach their full potential.
  • At the event, Giorgio asks Dusty to go and fetch ice so that he can spend more time alone with Cass. Dusty goes with Xander to get supplies while Giorgio shows Cass around the venue.
  • Dusty and Xander talk. Xander remembers Dusty teaching him at school. He says Dusty was laid-back. Dusty feels inadequate as a teacher. At the general store, they realize it was all just a ruse. Giorgio doesn’t need ice.
  • Giorgio opens up to Cass about his family, and she does the same in return. They start to bond over a shared history. Both didn’t know their real fathers.
  • Dusty talks about his anxiety, and Jacob suggests they all smoke weed together.
  • Father Reuben and Hana talk at the event. She confesses to sleeping with Giorgio.
  • Giorgio accidentally embarrasses Cass at the fundraiser, which leads to a lack of donations. He donates $500 to get things going. People start to bid on Giorgio’s possessions. He is happy to sell his belongings to please Cass.
  • Izzy is jealous of Cass’ successes and leaves.
  • Giorgio and Cass chat at the end of the night. They open up further. It is revealed that Cass left Italy to marry Dusty, and Giorgio caused his own life-changing injury because he was angry at them for getting married. He goes to kiss Cass, but Trina interrupts.
  • Dusty apologizes to Cass and starts to practice the theremin again.
  • Izzy goes to destroy the Morpho machine, but Jacob stops her.
