Another movie threatens Earth with an object from space, this time an asteroid. NASA boss Dan Truman (Billy Bob Thornton) decides the only way save humanity is to drill into its surface and set off a nuclear bomb. He recruits driller Harry Stamper (Bruce Willis) to lead the team, which also includes A.J. (Ben Affleck), a father trying to prove himself to his daughter.

The Day After Tomorrow (2004)
Continuing with natural disasters the Earth is hit by several natural disasters before the start of a new Ice Age. Climatologist Jack Hall (Dennis Quaid) is dismissed by U.N. officials when presenting his concerns; his research inevitably proves true. He spends much of the film trying to get to his son Sam (Jake Gyllenhaal), who is trapped in New York with his friend Laura (Emmy Rossum). Jack and his crew must travel by foot from Philadelphia and brave the destruction.
I Am Legend (2007)
From climate change to viruses, this film follows Robert Neville (Will Smith), a survivor of a man-made plague that transforms humans into bloodthirsty mutants. He wanders through New York City with German Shepard Abbey, trying to find other survivors and developing a cure using his blood.

Moonfall (2022)
Mysterious objects knock the moon from orbit, putting it on a collision course with Earth. With time running out before life as they know it ends, NASA executive Jocinda Fowler (Halle Berry) must team up with former astronaut Brian Harper (Patrick Wilson) and amateur researcher K.C.Houseman (John Bradley) to find out what’s happening and save humanity.
Don’t Look Up (2021)
Dr. Randall Mindy (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Kate Dibiasky (Jennifer Lawrence) discover that a comet will collide with planet Earth and destroy it, so they embark on a media tour to convince the world of what’s about to happen. Unfortunately, this doesn’t go as well as they hope.
