We discuss predictions for the Apple TV+ series Silo Season 1 Episode 4, including the release date and where to watch online.

The latest installment of Silo, titled “Machines,” focuses on the Mayor’s journey down to the lower levels and Juliette’s attempts to fix the generator. It’s a nail-biting episode featuring one major plot twist that will undoubtedly result in some pretty enormous ramifications for the citizens of the Silo. Here’s what happened in Silo Season 1, Episode 3:

  • Juliette is too scared to venture into the water and drowns her sorrows instead.
  • She is late for work the next day and drunkenly punches her assistant Cooper.
  • Juliette worries that the generator won’t last much longer. It needs fixing right away.
  • The Mayor and Deputy Marnes head down to the lower levels to meet with Juliette. On the way down, they meet with Bernard. He wants Judge Meadow’s choice, Paul Billings, to be the next sheriff. He thinks Juliette is a thief.
  • Next, they visit Juliette’s father, Dr. Pete Nichols, for his opinion. This gives them a little of Juliette’s backstory. She always wanted to be a mechanic.
  • As the Mayor and Marnes make it to the generator, they find the machine out of control once again. Juliette manages to fix it in front of them, though.
  • The Mayor offers Juliette the sheriff’s job; she turns the role down straight away. The Mayor hands Juliette Holston’s badge. A message on the back of the badge forces Juliette to change her mind. It says ‘truth’ on it, a message from Holston.
  • She manages to buy the mechanical team 8 hours to fix the generator.
  • The citizens are told that there will be a power outage. They must stay indoors or in safe zones during this blackout.
  • Knox’s team cut the power. The TV screen, showing the outside world, flickers onto the luscious green landscape as the power cuts.
  • The team remove the panels and find a broken blade. They get to work fixing this—the generator overheats. Juliette cools the valve with water but starts to drown in the chamber.
  • The blade is refitted just in time, and Juliette escapes from the chamber. Knox restarts the generator. They celebrate their successes.
  • The Mayor and Marnes kiss. Bernard is angry that they have sided with Juliette.
  • The Mayor signs the paperwork instating Juliette as the new sheriff. She is then seen dying, possibly from a poisoning.

Where to watch online

Predictions

  • Either Mayor Jahns has been attacked, or she has tried to commit suicide. Both options seem feasible. For one, the Mayor had her enemies. Judge Meadows and Bernard wanted her to choose Paul Billings after all. The suicide angle also makes sense. The Mayor was acting nostalgic and reflective; maybe she wanted to make this one last decision before the end. Or, she may know the many dark secrets of the Silo that are close to being revealed and commit suicide out of cowardice.
  • The Mayor will die from her injuries. Marnes will investigate this incident, desperate to find her murderer.
  • Juliette will journey to the upper levels and help Marnes with the investigation.
  • The citizens who saw the real footage of the outside world will start to spread the word. An uprising is on the cards, people want to know the truth.

Episode were the furnace is discovered to have a badly bent turbine blade which causes turbine to shake so badly it will break:
I’m no engineer but I’m pretty sure you require A: something to heat the blade and B: something to straighten it or a load of guys with big Thor like Hammers. Grinding tools just won’t do the job although they apparently did ha ha yea right! and looked brand new, no scratches no dents Amazing
