Summary

Young, Famous & African explores the lives of the elite in a reality series filled with drama due to social platforms.

We review the Netflix reality series Young, Famous & African Season 2, which was released on May 19th, 2023.

Netflix has made some interesting reality show programming that has taken up a lot of space on the streaming service. There is an audience for it, and it’s interesting to see what they come up with next.

Some Netflix series force their cast members to avoid social media at all costs and even strip them of their phones.

However, this series doesn’t fall into that. They use their social media platform to bring the drama, which helps viewers connect with the cast more.

It’s nice to see a cast so connected with each other, even if they do have drama. There are some unique personalities in this season, and the best part is that they do confront each other.

Young, Famous & African Season 2 Review

In season two of Young, Famous & African, there are more episodes to watch than in the previous season, which means it did well. There are more episodes to explore the drama between these friends and their relationships.

Some storylines do carry from the first season, but now through the power of social media, things can change.

What this show does well is integrate social media platforms into the drama to create fluidity with their online personas.

You get to know everyone more this season, and the mixture of old and new cast members creates good tension.

Is Young, Famous & African Good or Bad?

Season two is good because it carries over drama from the first season. It feels like they are more communicative with each other and even during the interviews.

Some dynamics change, and the lengthier season order gives room for everyone to grow with each situation they face.

The drama can be excessive, but it’s so funny to see what they say to each other and how they treat each other when they have an issue. Each cast member has a strong personality, and audiences can learn from them.

Is Young, Famous & African Season 2 Worth Watching?

If you were a fan of the first season and thought it was too short, this second season delivers. Each episode is filled with many conversations and small situations that shouldn’t have even been blown out of proportion.

This series feels compact because of the thirty-minute episode runtime. Scenes don’t feel unnecessary, and they do discuss everything with each other.

Whether it be family issues, health issues, or relationship issues, many of them are very open with what they are going through, which is important to show in a reality show. It doesn’t feel scripted or edited to harm the image of any of the cast members.
