Summary
The writers are starting to tie up so many loose ends on the show but leave just enough drama for us to ramp up into the final two episodes. Episode 8 is easily my favorite episode of the season.

It is finally time to find out whether or not Devi (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) will be going to Princeton on Never Have I Ever.
However, before that goes down, Devi heads down a wild goose chase realizing that her mom has the hots for Andres and does everything in her power to set the two up.
Never Have I Ever Season 4 Episode 8 Recap
It’s almost time for Princeton to announce their decision, and Devi isn’t freaking out as much as she once was after everything had shifted over the rest of the senior year.
Ben and Devi have been texting quite a bit, but as she heads off to school, Devi notices that her mom is playfully flirting with Margot’s dad, Andres.
Although her initial reaction was freaking out, she understood this could be great for her.
Why does Andres say no to dinner with Nalini?
Devi talks her mom into inviting Andres for dinner for Pati’s birthday. After asking, Andres appreciates the offer but says no because of the relationship between Margot and Devi. He doesn’t want to upset Margot by accepting her offer.
Margot and Devi put their best game faces on at dinner to help their mom and dad out. The two share a moment in the kitchen where we discover that Ben hasn’t been texting Devi a lot but is still in constant communication with Margot.
Devi and Margot chat about it, and Margot reveals she has feelings for him still, and after Devi looks at the text between the two, she tells Margot the feelings are mutual.
Who does Eleanor run into at her audition?
Eleanor has been very busy with her newfound acting career but with minor roles. She appears on set for her next role and runs into her mom. The two share a moment of confrontation when the casting director is looking for a featured body for the promotional poster, and her mom jumps at the chance.
After a hangout session with Trent, Ben reveals that he has feelings for Devi. When he arrives at her house, he realizes that Margot is there too, which upsets her, and she calls out Devi for lying to her.
However, Devi explains the two aren’t good for each other. Margot questions why he showed up with flowers, Devi asks, and Ben goes on a massive trip because of the edible he took with Trent.
Nalini greatly appreciates that Devi worries about her once she leaves but promises she will be OK. She is thankful that she is OK with her hitting the dating scene and that they’ve overcome a lot over the years to get here.
Devi sees Margot in the halls and attempts to apologize for everything that went down during dinner. The two comfort each other over Ben rejecting them and joking that they hope their parents date.
We see Andres head to Nalini’s and tell her there is something he’s been wanting to do for a while, and he plants a kiss on her.

Does Devi get into Princeton?
The time had come to discover what Princeton said about her college application. As she logged in, she read “waitlisted” and was devastated. Devi continued to look at the seven other colleges she applied to, which had all turned her down, meaning that Devi wasn’t going to college, at least not to any of the ones she wanted to.
