Netflix series Glamorous has landed, starring Kim Cattrall and Miss Benny as Madolyn and Marco.
The show follows a gender non-conforming high school graduate, Marco, who is brought into a cosmetics company run by Cattrall’s Madolyn.
Glamorous Cosmetics was once a successful business, but lately, there has been a disturbing change in trends, and Glamorous is being maligned on social media and sales, and more importantly, clout, seems to be slipping away from the company.
Ex-model Madolyn needs to know what is going wrong and feels Marco may be the person who can get to the bottom of things.
Marco arrives straight out of high school, with love for make-up, as an intern. Madolyn convinces Marco to become an inside agent, looking for anything that might give an insight into why her business is somehow failing.
In exchange, Marco can learn from the very best in a business that ironically knows that under all the glitter is often plenty of muck.
The show itself was a return to TV for Kim Cattrall, and after previous outings, audiences would be looking for a good vehicle for her. However, the show is getting mixed reviews.
The Telegraph is calling the show “dull,” The Guardian says Cattrall looks bored, and The Hollywood Reporter refers to it as “a missed opportunity,” but for a real insight into the show, you should check out our reviews right here on Ready Steady Cut.

Toronto, Canada
Well, it may surprise you that most of the filming was done in Toronto, not the US, where the show is set.
Toronto has a long legacy of standing in for the likes of New York and Chicago, as it can easily double for many well-known locations. The streets, architecture, and hotels can be dressed quickly to represent iconic US settings, and it’s no surprise to know that the city is referred to as Hollywood North.
As well as doubling for America, Toronto has also fooled audiences into believing actors were in Paris, London, and Saigon.
The Bay Adelaide Centre
Located in the Financial District in Toronto, this iconic center has been seen more times than you can probably imagine in various productions. The office complex will eventually have three skyscrapers connected with a concourse.
It has been featured in Suits and The Bold Type, and you will be able to spot it in Glamorous too.
Eagle-eyed fans of the show may be able to see some landmarks in the exterior scenes and establishing shots over the course of the series.
Some of these may include The Ontario Science Centre, The Pantages Tower, and The Design Exchange.
