Will there be a Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire Season 2 on Disney+?

This article discusses the possibility of Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire Season 2 on Disney+ and may contain some spoilers for the first season.

Executive produced by Peter Ramsey (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse) and produced by Triggerfish, who also provided a short in the Star Wars: Visions Season 2 collection titled “Aau’s Song”Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire collects ten short animations combining various visual styles with different modes of storytelling and resonant themes.

The first season of the collection is streaming on Disney+, providing unprecedented mainstream access to a vibrant anthology of African stories doing great work in the science-fiction and fantasy genres.

With so much talent involved, it’s easy to imagine that there are many stories just like these, still waiting to be told, so it’s logical to ponder the potential future of Kizazi Moto. Will we see more? Here’s everything we know.

Will there be a Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire Season 2 on Disney+?

Renewed or canceled status: TBC

At the time of writing, Disney has not officially confirmed a second season of Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire.

Is this a cause for concern? Probably not.

Disney+, like all streaming platforms, is endeavoring to stock its thumbnail with as much diverse international content as possible, and Kizazi Moto, with its digestible presentation and widely appealing genres, fits that bill perfectly.

It is also the mandate of all streaming platforms to be profitable, and that’s a trickier matter to unpack. However, popularity is intimately tied to this notion, so the streamer will be keeping a close eye on how the anthology performs with viewers in terms of watch-hours and social media traction, as well as how well it is received. On Rotten Tomatoes, at least at the time of writing, Kizazi Moto doesn’t have enough critic reviews for an aggregate but boasts an impressive audience score of 83%.

This all bodes well. If we consider the collection’s closest analog to be Star Wars: Visions, which got a second season after the success of its first, we can also take that as a positive sign. Of course, Kizazi Moto doesn’t have the curb appeal of an IP like Star Wars, but if nothing else the success of that show is proof that there’s absolutely an audience for short-form animated storytelling.

Our official prediction is that Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire will be renewed for a second season, but we’ll update this article with new information as soon as we get it.
