Who won Sugar Rush: The Baking Point on Netflix

Who won Sugar Rush: The Baking Point on Netflix? We discuss the 2023 Netflix cooking competition show, which contains major spoilers for the season finale.

Ah, the baking reality show, a streaming platform staple and always popular with viewers. The recipe for these types of shows is pretty easy.

Take a handful of hopeful and energetic cooks; you can use either semi-professional or amateur chefs, depending on your taste, add a panel of judges and experts, decide on a hook to help gel the mix together, then place it in a studio and heat until eventually something boils over.

People love to watch other people cooking; it must have something to do with our genetics like being afraid of the dark is inherited in our makeup to keep us safe at night; watching people cook is obviously layered into our DNA in an attempt to allow us to subconsciously learn how to make food so the species can survive, probably.

So that’s why we keep seeing new cookery shows on the schedules, and the latest one is Sugar Rush: The Baking Point. Initially, the show dropped in 2018, just called Sugar Rush, but its popularity has spawned lots of spin-offs, including Sugar Rush: Extra Sweet, as well as a couple of Christmas specials. Four teams of two chefs competed against each other over three rounds, cupcakes, confections, and cake.

The franchise would inspire this Mexican series, The Baking Point, and has our Willy Wonka knockoffs racing against time to make some incredibly sweet concoctions in a race against the clock to win a huge cash reward.

This sweet and stick article is going to answer the question of who won Sugar Rush: The Boiling Point, so if reading this introduction has made you want to go and watch the series, then stop reading now, binge-watch the show, then come back and read our thoughts about it after.

What was the elimination order of Sugar Rush: The Baking Point?

The show works on a race-against-the-clock basis, so in the first round, Ivan and Isreal were victorious, and Alan and Ale were eliminated. In episode two, Dany and Ava Lue ended up in the frying pan, going home next.

In the third episode, themed on the Mexican Day of the Dead, the pair that reached the end of the road were Lis and Luli.

The next episode brought some of the previously eliminated contestants back for a second chance leading to Gaby and Karen not making the grade and leaving the show.

Who Won Sugar Rush: The Baking Point on Netflix?

The final episode follows the remaining teams competing for the grand prize, and the winners were Ruth and Rubi.

Ruth and Rubi – where are the Sugar Rush: The Baking Point winners now?

The winners are doing just great. Ruth is a professional pastry chef but has ambitions to be an actress and continues to pursue that goal. You can find her on Instagram @ruth_cabeza, and there are some great recipes there you can look at too. Rubi also continues to bake, and her Instagram is @brulee.pasteleriacreativa, where she also shares recipes with her followers.

Both winners are currently promoting the Netflix show on their social media accounts.
