The final season of Prime Video’s hugely popular original series Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan has now officially concluded. The show comes to an end with its season four finale, “Proof of Concept.” This eagerly anticipated final chapter brings some finality to Jack Ryan’s story arc while giving viewers the action-packed send-off that they had hoped for.
The political thriller has divided viewers somewhat with its final season. But fans will be desperate to know if our hero lives to fight another day or if Jack Ryan was killed off in the season four finale.
What happens at the end of Jack Ryan Season 4?
After defeating the Triad crime organization and defusing all of the bombs, Jack Ryan (John Krasinski) and his gang return to Washington, DC. At an open hearing, Jack Ryan calls out Senator Henshaw (Derek Cecil), proving his involvement in the strike. Jack Ryan has evidence that Senator Henshaw was accepting bribes from Adebayo Osoji, stating that he is as much to blame for all of the deaths.
In the final scene, Jack Ryan meets with James Greer (Wendell Pierce), Elizabeth Wright (Betty Gabriel), Mike November (Michael Kelly), and Domingo Chavez (Michael Pena) outside the White House.
Jack Ryan is told that it is likely the President is going to ask him to run for office, but he doesn’t want the position or the responsibility. He decides to take a break instead, happily walking away from it all with his partner Cathy Mueller (Abbie Cornish).
Does Jack Ryan die in Season 4?
Jack Ryan does not die in season 4 of Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan. In the final scene, he is very much still alive. He is subjected to some truly horrendous acts of torture, though, and is involved in many shootouts, but Jack Ryan survives these ordeals to safely return home.
He may have a few battle scars and many traumatic memories to deal with now, but Jack Ryan has saved the day once again. He now wants to spend some quality time with Cathy and relax away from the horrors of the world.
Who dies in Jack Ryan Season 4?
As with most seasons of Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, there is a lot of death and destruction on display. The main players that are killed off in season four include Zeyara Lemos, Chao Fah, Thomas Miller, and Tin Tun.
Zeyara Lemos is murdered by Domingo Chavez. The assassin finds Zeyara with her hostage Jack Ryan in Myanmar, where she is interrogating and torturing the man. Domingo Chavez doesn’t hesitate in killing her.
Chao Fah is shot by Tin Tun. He receives a fatal gunshot wound, but he chooses to blow himself up instead. This explosion also kills Tin Tun, his sworn enemy. While the former CIA director Thomas Miller is killed in horrific fashion by Bill Tuttle earlier in the season.
