Will there be a Season 3 of the Netflix series The Beauty Queen of Jerusalem – renewed or canceled status

We discuss whether there will be a Season 3 of the Netflix series The Beauty Queen of Jerusalem and its renewed or canceled status.

Fans have waited a year for the second run of the hit show The Beauty Queen of Jerusalem, which follows the trial and tribulations of the Ermoza family.

The historical drama set in Jerusalem is a sprawling epic tale that is ambitious in its scope, following three generations of the family. It often splits the narrative between two different timelines.

Season one found us in the British Mandate era, with the backdrop for the action between the 1920s and the 1940s, including World War II.

The show was adapted from the 2015 novel of the same name, which was written by Sarit Yishai-Levi.

The success of the first series green-lit the second, but now fans are looking forward to a possible third, and this short article will throw some light on whether there will be Season 3 of The Beauty Queen of Jerusalem.

At the time of writing, there has been no official confirmation from Netflix of a third season of the series. The show is produced by Israeli production company Yes Studios, which was behind the Orthodox family drama Shtisel and the IDF thriller Fauda.

The show has been described as one of Israeli TV’s most expensive productions yet. However, there is no word from them yet about a third outing, even though it does appear that both seasons of the series have performed well, so don’t lose hope yet if you are a fan.

It seems the writers are hoping for a third run of episodes, as season two pretty much left things on a bit of a cliffhanger that would hopefully be resolved in a new series.

Some reviewers have criticized the show, stating that the time shifts are annoying and the pacing is often slow, but the show is essentially a soap opera. There will always be production issues with a show that has a strict schedule to keep up with.

There have also been some reviewers that have been critical of the show’s historical accuracy that seems to choose what true historical events they can and cannot talk about.

Some hint that the revisionist tone of the show may be in place to help the series find an audience in the US.

Season one of the show has twenty episodes, and season two seems to have sixteen episodes, and there has been talk that season two was re-edited into sixteen chapters from its original broadcast in Israeli.

Currently, the show has a rating of 7.2/10 on IMDB.

Whatever the reasons behind the production, we still have no facts about a third season, and only time will tell if the watch time of the show will allow a third run to happen.
