Fatal Seduction is a South African adaptation of the Mexican telenovela Dark Desire, also on Netflix, but it’s reminiscent of a hundred films and shows before it, all cautionary tales about the potentially mortal consequences of cheating on your spouse.
Volume 2 is still built on most of the same essential questions but adds some new wrinkles to the mix. Jacob absconds with Nandi’s daughter Zinhle, and it’s revealed that Leonard had a long-term affair with Brenda and is thus the likeliest suspect in her death.

After the quick double-dose of the series, fans are rightly wondering what the future may hold for it, so here’s everything we know.
Will there be a Fatal Seduction Season 2 on Netflix?

At the time of writing, Netflix have not renewed Fatal Seduction for a second season.
Like with The Witcher and The Lincoln Lawyer, Netflix elected to split Fatal Seduction into two parts, which has probably created confusion.
To be clear, the first season was all filmed at once. The fourteen episodes were divided into two seven-episode volumes, but it told a single story and was all Season 1.
The question about Season 2, then, is slightly different. Here’s where the usual concerns of viewership metrics and reception come into play, as a second season isn’t a foregone conclusion as Volume 2 was. The streaming giant will have to determine if the juice is worth the squeeze, and the potential turnaround wouldn’t be anywhere near as quick as the month-long wait between Volumes 1 and 2.
The show is popular, though, there’s no doubt about that, and while the Volume 2 ending answers most of the essential questions and mysteries raised in the first 14 episodes, it certainly leaves a little space for the story to be continued.
With Netflix wanting to diversify its library, another well-liked South African original would be a useful feather in its cap, and the erotic thriller genre is basically guaranteed numbers every time. One imagines that the show isn’t terribly expensive to produce and that there are unlikely to be too many scheduling conflicts with its stars. Given the ongoing strikes, this might be just the kind of show Netflix wants to renew to guarantee some buzzy long-term content.
With that in mind, then, our official prediction is that Fatal Seduction will be renewed for Season 2, though at this point, it’s certainly not a sure thing. We’ll update this page whenever we know more.
Fatal Seduction Season 2 Release Date
While we predict that there will be a Season 2, a forecast on the release date is a little difficult with the current climate of strikes in the film and TV industry.
If unaffected, we fully expect Season 2 to arrive in early 2024.
