Jacob worked at Pacific Coast Producers, and the authorities found that his credit card transactions from the day he went missing included buying gas at a local Costco before going to pick up dinner at Shangri La Sushi Bar.

Yes, he was found by a group of volunteers called AWP in a San Joaquin County slough on Saturday, April 15, 2023.

How was Jacob VanZant found, and where was the body?
A group known as Adventures With Purpose (AWP) was contacted to help in the search for Jacob. This group specializes in searching underwater, and it was this organization that found Jacob’s car.
The group was acting on behalf of Jacob’s family, who had reached out to them for help. They would use the last signal from Jacob’s cell phone as a starting point in their underwater search.
The road that Jacob was on had no barrier at the water’s edge, and it was surmised that if he had been traveling at speed and missed the turn, he would end up in the water.
In their search, they would find many vehicles that had possibly missed the turn and ended up submerged. Jacob’s car and body were found submerged, and reports would state that people had noticed Jacob driving away from the Sushi bar in an erratic manner.
It was also reported that Jacob had been drinking alcohol before driving off. It seems that Jacob’s disappearance was the result of a road accident.

The work that was done by the AWP team was incredible, and although a terrible conclusion, Jacob’s family, friends, and loved ones at least had questions answered, providing the coldest of comfort, yet still, there was comfort.
Who is Jacob VanZant’s daughter?
In September 2021, the couple announced on social media they were going to be parents, but tragically thirty-seven weeks later, their baby would be stillborn.
A Facebook post on Celestial’s page would say, “I know you’re holding our daughter and watching us right now. You’re at peace.”
