Who won Glow Up Season 5

Who won Glow Up Season 5? We discuss the fifth season of the make-up reality show competition and the eventual winner. Spoilers ahead.

Glow Up Season 5 brought us another ten hopefuls looking to win the competition and become the next big thing in makeup. Season five of the popular series was hosted by supermodel Leomie Anderson, who joined judges Val Garland and Dominic Skinner in the BBC Three show.

The show sees our contestants embark on various makeup challenges. Previous outings have included preparing the look for London Fashion Week and working on prosthetics for Doctor Who.

Over the course of the show, the makeup artists, MUAs, are voted off until they have a winner. Some say that the success of the show is down to the feel-good (max) factor that is projected.

There are no catty comments or vicious putdowns. Instead, the contestants are encouraged and mentored, and the positive vibe seems to run through the core of the show.

The makeup artists, too, seem to genuinely relate to each other, and in a twist to some other reality game shows, there is very little forced drama; instead, the players seem genuinely sad when someone leaves, and it feels as if they do become friends over the show’s run.

If you are a fan of the show, here’s a little companion piece for you to relax with as we answer the question: who won Glow Up Season 5?

What was the elimination order of Glow Up Season 5?

In the first episode, we said goodbye to nineteen-year-old Morgan, who was from Durham. Londoner Howard B went next in episode two, followed in episode three by Sarah, who hailed from Manchester.

Taisha, another Londoner, got the send-off in episode four, and twenty-year-old Wezley left in the following episode.

In episode six, On May from Glasgow, Scotland said goodbye, and there was no elimination in episode seven.

Kieron from Cheshire was off in episode eight, and that left Roo, Axel B, and Saphron in the final.

Who won Glow Up Season 5?

Season five of the show was eventually won by twenty-three-year-old former pizza delivery driver Saphron Morgan from Essex.

Saphron had impressed from the start of the contest, encouraged everyone to take chances with their lives, and expressed an interest in continuing in the makeup industry after the show.

Where is Saphron Morgan today?

Although streaming on Netflix, the BBC Three show aired earlier in the UK. In an interview about her life after the series, Saphron revealed she had been studying hair and make-up for theatre and media at Northbrook College. The talented artist also had some coverage of her work in Selin Magazine and on the clothing website Jaden London.

Saphron also spoke of her love of prosthetics and fantasy characters.

Everyone at Ready Steady Cut wishes Saphron best wishes, and we expect to hear more from her in the future.
