The Behind Your Touch K-Drama is a romantic comedy that enjoyed a 16-episode run that’s very unlikely to get a Season 2. The story follows Bong Ye-bun, a vet from a small town in Korea who has psychic powers.

Kim Suk-yoon directs the series, which bends different genres with a comedic angle. It focuses on a small town where more crimes are committed than anyone ever thought possible.

Behind Your Touch Season 2 Renewal Hopes Have Quietened

Considering that there’s been silence on Behind Your Touch since its release, it now seems unlikely that we will be getting a second season.

While Netflix is distributing Behind Your Touch worldwide, the South Korean channel JTBC produced and distributed it in Korea. Therefore, it will be up to them unless they pass on it and Netflix steps in if the South Korean network doesn’t move forward with a second season and their numbers worldwide are strong enough.

The series’ premise, though, does lend itself to more than one season. If JTBC has the numbers, it shouldn’t be too hard for them to move forward with a second season.

There’s also the Netflix option. The streamer has a huge global footprint at the moment, and one of the things they are the most proud of is their ability to produce TV shows and movies from each of their subsidiaries all over the world — local programming that reflects each country’s culture and sensibilities, made by people from that specific country, that is then available for everyone to watch everywhere.

Therefore, even if JTBC doesn’t want to do another season of Behind Your Touch, Netflix could see it as an opportunity to expand its South Korean portfolio. Netflix has been investing a lot of money in the Asian market, and K-Dramas are no exception, so don’t count them out yet.

On the downside, not many K-dramas get renewed for a second season, so that’s also something to take into account.
