Disney+ has been making strides toward becoming a major player in the K-drama game and the streaming service started introducing new shows in 2021 and has been adding to its catalog ever since, either producing its own or adding currently airing or completed dramas from television channels — we delve into the best they offer.

9. Shadow Detective (2022)

Kim Taek Rok is a veteran detective at the Geumo Police Station waiting for his retirement. One day, he starts receiving phone calls from someone who claims to be an old friend. The caller tells him that he killed Kim Taek Rok’s colleague Woo Hyun Seok and blackmailed Taek Rok, using his past wrongs to lead him to the answer. Taek Rok then searches for the mastermind behind his blackmail.

8. Call It Love (2023)

Sim Woo and her siblings live in the house their father left them when he ran away with his mistress. When his father dies, his mistress returns, staking her claim on the property and kicking the sibling group out. 

Sim Woo approaches the mistress’s son incognito, hoping to enact revenge on him, only to find he is such a sad sack he couldn’t get any lower. As they spend more time together, her feelings for him evolve.

Ku San Young, a part-time worker studying to be a public officer, is possessed by a demon. Yeom Hae Sang, a folklore professor at a local university, can see this demon, which is the same demon that killed his mother.

Lee Hong Sae is a lieutenant in the violent crimes investigation team who only cares about doing the bare minimum to advance his career. Due to Ku San Young and Yeom Hae Sang, he gets involved in mysterious cases.

6. Snowdrop (2021)

In 1987, a bloody man jumps into a women’s university dormitory in Seoul. Young Ro, a female university student, takes care of him despite the strict surveillance and dangerous situation. Soo Ho has no choice but to go back to his home country, where his sibling awaits and helps his teammates.

Young Ro rejects the will of her father and works hand in hand with Soo Ho to save him and her friends.

2. Big Bet (2022)

Cha Mu Sik flees to the Philippines to avoid a crackdown by South Korea’s National Tax Service. He opens a casino business there while working to win over the political and business circles he runs in.

He ends up being falsely accused of a number of crimes, which earns him a deportation back to South Korea. He returns a year later to seek revenge on those who accused him.

1. Dr. Romantic 3 (2023)

In this third installment of the Doctor Romantic Teacher Kim series, Doldam Hospital is set to open a state-of-the-art trauma center. Prior to the center’s official opening, the doctors from Doldam Hospital fly out to help the critically injured aboard a North Korean ship that has drifted into South Korean waters. The doctors want to transport the patients to their hospital, while the South Korean government wants the North Korean patients returned to their country as part of diplomatic efforts. Amidst the chaos, a former rival of Dr. Kim’s is brought on board to run the new trauma center.
