Where was Pact of Silence on Netflix filmed?

Pact of Silence (Pacto De Silencio) is a telenovela streaming on Netflix that centers around the life of influencer Brenda Rey, portrayed by Camila Valero. The series is produced by Mariana Iskandarani and Mar Abierto Productions and there are a whopping 18 episodes filled with suspense, emotional turmoil, and unexpected revelations — some serious family drama. Think Mamma Mia but with more abandonment issues and murder. As the film is Spanish, fans are eager to know where it was filmed. This article looks into the filming locations further.

Despite her online fame, big-time social media influencer Brenda’s life is marred by the mystery of her parentage. Thirsty for answers and revenge, she infiltrates the lives of four women to discover which of them is her biological mother who abandoned her at birth, to uncover why she was left alone. Brenda gets a lot more than she bargained for on this journey, with twists and tales at every turn.

Where was Pact of Silence on Netflix filmed? A breakdown of locations

Whilst there is not much online regarding the filming locations, we do know that Pact of Silence takes place in Mexico. On its Tudum site, Netflix confirmed that Pact of Silence filming took place in Guerrero, Mexico City, Soledad de Doblado, and Veracruz

Guerrero

Guerrero is a state on Mexico’s Pacific coast and is known for its high-energy nightlife and beaches along Acapulco Bay and the Acapulco Diamante area. It’s small, and not well-known, making it a perfect location for intimate filming and to help build the area’s tourism.

Mexico City

Mexico has a thriving film industry, and it’s becoming an increasingly familiar sight on the streets of Mexico City. Mexico is relatively cheaper to film in than the US, and with its inviting warm weather and cheap labor, it’s becoming a hot spot for filming.

With Mexico City being the capital of Mexico, it makes sense for Pact of Silence to be filmed here — keep your eyes peeled for any local landmarks in the film.

Veracruz

The beautiful municipalities of Veracruz, Orizaba, and Soledad de Doblado have been used in Pact of Silence. In Orizaba, the cast and crew caused the closure of Sur 8 and Poniente 5 streets — luckily they only spent one day filming here.

They moved on to filming in Soledad de Doblado, where the main locations were the Puente de Tablas and the Old Railway Station. You can see online, on many social media platforms, that the City Council of the municipality expressed pride that the place was taken into account, hoping this will bring more visitors to their little but lovely location.

Other films shot here include True Lies and Collateral Damage, and La Bamba Beach in Boca del Rio recently served as the location for the 2023 HBO series I Love You and It Hurts.
