Summary
“New York’s Finest” is one of the season’s best episodes, with action-packed chase sequences, massive shootouts, and huge plot development as we inch closer to the finale.
Jack Reacher is inching closer and closer to getting his face-to-face with Langston in Reacher Season 2. In Episode 6, Reacher and the team finally track down the woman who sent them into an ambush and get information to get them closer to Langston and his crew. A plan to meet with Langston goes south and ends up deadly after a massive shootout.
Mahmoud finds himself in trouble with a cop for having something hanging from his rearview mirror. While the lady said she’d let him off with a warning, she still needed to write him up. He hands her his license and, moments later, kills her.
Who told Langston where Reacher and his team would be?
Detective Russo heads to fellow officer Marsh’s house to confront him about whether or not he was the man that sold out Reacher and his team. After some back and forth, Marsh confirms he was the man who did it because Langston brought him a sack full of cash. Marsh explains it was more of an order than a bribe, but Russo doesn’t care.
What does Marlo confirm about Tony Swan?
Reacher and his team confront Marlo about why she sent them into an ambush. However, she said that it was the direction of the head of security. O’Donnell asks if it was Tony Swan, and she immediately shuts them down, saying that he was trying to stop Langston, thus confirming Swan is not working to take them down.
After a lengthy back and forth, Reacher gets Marlo to agree to help them reel Langston in. Detective Russo agrees to stay with Marlo’s daughter and take her to a safe house.
Shockingly enough, Langston and the crew arrive at the meet. However, Russo realizes he is being followed, and a car begins to shoot at him and Marlo’s daughter. Reacher pulls Marlo from the meet, and Langston realizes it’s a setup, and a shootout ensues. While Reacher sends the team to help Russo, he takes out Langston’s crew one by one.
Finally, Reacher is set to come face-to-face with Langston, but a helicopter swoops in and begins shooting at him. The decoy allows Langston to get into the helicopter and out of Dodge.

One of the men goes around and is about to pull the trigger on the little girl, but Frances arrives just in time to run him over.
The men chasing Detective Russo manage to block him in. With the guys continuing to shoot at him, Russo tells the little girl to run when he says and never look back. He puts himself at the forefront, shooting back at the man to allow her to run away, and takes a few bullets in return. Frances makes it to Russo, who says the ambulance is on the way, but he slowly dies with his hand locked in Frances’.
