Lover, Stalker, Killer is a disturbing and terrifying film that explores a twisted series of events leading to stalking, threats, and murder. Cari Farver would go missing, and then a targeted and relentless barrage of texts and emails would be aimed at her ex, Dave Kroupa, seemingly from Cari. However, the truth behind the hate campaign would eventually be brought to light, leaving viewers stunned.
What happened to Cari Farver?
Cari Farver would go missing, and texts from her phone to her mother would say that she was moving away for a new job and she would be in touch to make arrangements in regards to her teenage son. Cari apparently texted Dave too, asking to move in with him, even though the couple had previously discussed their relationship. When Dave rejected the idea, he would receive abusive texts from Cari saying she hated him and they were finished and she was moving on.
However, it was not Cari who had sent the messages, it was Shanna “Liz” Golyar perpetrating the ruse after she had murdered Cari Farver. Golyar would continue to stalk and harass Dave Kroupa for years, making his life a nightmare, targeting his ex-partner and mother of his children, and playing the victim to cover up her terrible crime. She would go to such extreme lengths as burning down her own house, blaming Cari, and shooting herself to blame Kroupa’s ex-partner for the crime.
Although the body of Cari was never found, Golyar would eventually be convicted of her murder and sentenced to life for her crimes.
Golyar was insanely jealous of Cari’s relationship with Dave Kroupa, and she would murder the woman, then stalk Kroupa, to bring Kroupa back into her life.
Cari was the mother to a son called Maxwell. He was a teenager at the time of his mother’s disappearance and was looked after by family members during the traumatic events in his life.
