A lot happens in Blood & Water Season 4, from yearning teenage romances to cyber threats. This series tries to encapsulate as many twists and turns as possible. I’ve broken down the key plot points into a serviceable recap in case you missed anything major.

Episode 1 – “Beware of Things Buried”

Episode 1 shows life going back to normal after the events of Season 3. Puleng is in therapy, Lisbeth and Matla are found guilty in court and are sentenced to prison, and Fiks is seemingly moving on with her life. However, a new problem arises when Puleng gets a threatening text from “Anonymous” — someone is spying on her.

Things go from bad to worse when Puleng gets drunk at a party and hooks up with new exchange student Ivan. Little did she know that “Anonymous” recorded them having sex.

Eventually, Puleng learns of the sex tape and that she’s being blackmailed. Understandably, she believes Point of Grace is targeting her. She reveals this to the police, but they are not bought in on the conspiracy.

Puleng investigates further and asks Sam to take her to the place where he was held by the human traffickers, which causes him to suffer from his PTSD. Later on, KB, Puleng, Sam, and Fiks visit Matla in prison about the trafficking cells. He dismisses it’s anything to do with Point of Grace.

By the end of the episode, everyone receives a text at school advertising a sex tape between two students labeled with “releasing soon.”

However, things are looking up for Wade, who has a new love interest in Asanda.

Episode 2 – “Tick Tock B****”

Blood & Water Season 4 is in full swing in Episode 2, with the “Anonymous” continuing to send threats to Puleng. They also drop a name on Puleng – Gregory Dickson. The threats have started to reach Fiks too. Wade figures out that Puleng is in the sex tape and offers to help.

Puleng and Wade look into Leigh-Anne’s phone and it has the sex video on it, making her the first suspect for “Anonymous”. Wade and Puleng confront Leigh-Anne. She says she is not “Anonymous” but she has been blackmailed by a person called “Poolboy”: She’s been asked to follow them or nudes will be released of her.

KB performs his new track at a club even though Chris sampled the music from another musician. “Anonymous” continues to spy on Fiks and sends her messages.

Sam is passed a message to give to Fiks about Gregory Dickson.

As Chris returns home, he’s beaten up by Ruff Beats and his henchmen and they claim he stole their beats for KB’s latest track. They are well and truly annoyed and clearly want money.

Puleng is told her “time is up” by “Anonymous” and suddenly, she and Ivan are surrounded by men on motorbikes.

Episode 3 – “Bad Decisions”

Episode 3 dives straight into the action, following the conclusion of Episode 2. Puleng is shocked after a group of men on motorbikes encircled her and Ivan, leaving paint on her, and riding off. Afterward, “Anonymous” rings Puleng and tells her to find Gregory Dickson.

In a surprise twist, Fiks meets Gregory Dickson. He uses a different surname now and he explains he is having a fresh start. Fiks tells Greg that “Anonymous” is contacting her and wants to tell everyone the truth. Greg tells her not to talk as they’ll end up in prison.

After, Fiks encourages Puleng to tell her mother about the sex tape to remove power from “Anonymous.” And so, Puleng shows her mother Thakenda the sex tape.

Fiks visits Matla in prison and asks him if she tells the truth, will she still go to jail? He confirms she will. Meanwhile, Sam reveals to Puleng that he and Fiks found Gregory Dickson which shocks her.

KB and Chris spy on Tahira and her friends stealing exam papers. They offer to help them so they can all benefit from the finals. Chris wants to make money by selling exam answers and solve the issue with the men who are threatening them over KB’s new track.

Puleng confronts Fiks about Gregory Dickinson but she tells her to leave it. Afterward, Puleng sneaks into the school archives with Wade and finds a file on Gregory Dickson.

Near the end of the episode, “Anonymous” rings Fiks and tells her to enjoy jail time. Feeling desperate, Fiks uploads Puleng and Ivan’s sex video on the school website.

Episode 4 – “Just Act Normal”

In the opening of Episode 4, Fiks is feeling guilty for leaking the sex tape of Puleng and Ivan. Puleng learns of the leak and believes Leigh-Anne uploaded the video and fights her at school. “Anonymous” messages and mocks Puleng, knowing she’s blaming the wrong person.

Due to Wendy’s suspicions of exams cheating, she reports her findings to the principal. The principal cracks down on the exam leaks. One of the students snitches on Chris and KB.

Puleng digs further on Gregory Dickson and believes it is all linked to Damian who almost drowned in a swimming pool. She asks Fiks, who claims she knows nothing about the situation.

Wade and Puleng look at swim team photos. Fiks is in the photo. Puleng believes “Anonymous” is Damian and Fiks is lying.

Puleng rings Anonymous, now known as Damian, and tells him to “fuck off.”

As the episode ends, Fiks tells Sam that she leaked Puleng’s sex tape. She doesn’t want her to find out her past. They are suddenly bombarded by people in balaclavas and they kidnap Fiks and throw her in a van.

In terms of romance, Lung tells Wendy that he and Chris kissed while she was away. Wade doesn’t like that Asanda wants their relationship to be a secret.

Episode 5 – “Too Little, Too Late”

As we near the end of Season 4, Fiks wakes up after being kidnapped, screaming for help in an unknown place.

Meanwhile, Sam tells Puleng that Fiks released the sex tape and asks for her help to find her. The police are informed and they immediately investigate.

Chris and KB meet Ruff Beats and his henchmen. They ask Chris and KB to strip down while they record them and then put them in a chicken coop. Ruff Beats messages Wendy asking for money and sending a video of Chris and KB in the coop.

Damian releases a live video of Fiks blindfolded. Fiks apologizes to Puleng. Damian cuts the feed, as she didn’t confess to her past, which she agreed to do.

Puleng decides to help Fiks. She rings Damian and offers to give him Gregory in return for Fiks. She believes Gregory did something to him. Damian says if she gives him Gregory they can talk.

Puleng and co visit Gregory. Gregory tells her that Damian is crazy and he never hurt him. Sam gets impatient with Gregory and punches him unconscious.

Knowing Ruff Beats loves his chickens. Wade and KB threaten to kill a couple of them and then escape. Wendy and her friends are nearby and pick Wade and KB up. However, Ruff Beats confronts them again at Chris’s own home. He threatens to torture them, but then Wendy asks Ruff Beats what he really wants. She agrees with him on a year’s worth of royalties from KB’s music for a year. Afterwards, Wendy confronts Chris about his kiss with Lung. She’s sick of the lies and they break up.

Fiks confesses in a live video to violently bullying a student with other classmates. Flashbacks reveal she briefly befriended Damian before helping out an elaborate plan with the swim team to pull a prank on him. Gregory led on the prank.

Gregory nearly drowned Damian in the pool after Fiks led him there. Damian was blamed for the near drowning due to alcohol in his system. All the other families lawyered up so Damian and his family could not do anything. Fiks lied to the principal and the authorities about what really happened.

In the present, Fiks reveals in the livestream that she regrets lying every day and apologizes to Damian. When the live feed finishes, Damian tells Fiks that she and Gregory broke his body. He points his gun at her.

As Puleng and Sam drive to Fiks’ location, they are pulled over by a police car. Sam was speeding. But then the cop hears Gregory banging in the boot. Puleng uses her initiative and drives the car herself.

In terms of romance, Asanda announces publicly that she likes Wade and asks him to be her boyfriend.

Episode 6 – “Proceed with No Expectations”

The ending of Season 4 of Blood & Water brought plenty of action and a hostage situation. Damian hold Fiks hostage and is waiting for Puleng to bring Gregory. Eventually, the police show up at the indoor pool building, and wait outside, knowing Fiks’ life is in danger. Eventually, Puleng and Gregory agree to sneak into the building to try and stop Damian.

Damian is angry and emotional, putting all three lives at risk. Eventually, Gregory tries to stop Damian, but Damian ends up shooting his gun, causing distress outside. Gregory manages to get away.

Damian wants assurance that he will not be arrested, and the police agree. As he takes Fiks and Puleng outside, Damian realizes the police are lying and puts a gun to his head. Puleng and Fiks reassure him and ask him to think of his father. Fiks also tells Gregory that she’s half to blame for what has happened to him. Fiks takes the gun off Damian, and the hostage situation is over.

Life turns to normal again for the teens of Blood & Water. Gregory is arrested, and Fiks manages to avoid any charges by being forthcoming with information. As for romances, Wendy does not see a future with Chris due to his many lies, but agrees to at least stay in a relationship with him until the school year ends; Wade and Asanda blossom their romance, but decide to wait to lose their virginity; and in Johannesburg, Puleng meets KB at his apartment, hinting that they’ve rekindled their romance.
