Reacher Season 3 Is Definitely Happening
Reacher has been renewed for Season 3.
Ahead of the Season 2 debut, Amazon announced that Reacher had been renewed for a third season. The highly successful show was one of the few series that got the green light before the second season aired. With the release, we saw Amazon shift Reacher to the week-to-week method, and that showed a strong sign for the series’ longevity because an all-at-once dump isn’t bad, but Amazon only airs certain shows weekly.
Reacher Season 3 will be based on Persuader, the seventh book in the franchise, which finds Reacher going undercover unofficially for the DEA in order to bring down a drug smuggler. Ritchson confirmed the news in an Instagram post on January 24, 2024:

How has Season 2 performed?
Season 1 of Reacher somewhat shocked many people as it debuted with high critics and audience scores on Rotten Tomatoes, landing at 92 and 91%, respectively. Season 2 has been a smash hit with critics landing at 97%, but audiences haven’t been as thrilled as it sits at 84%.
Either way, Amazon has to be happy with these numbers heading into another season.
Season 2 of Reacher follows Jack Reacher hunting down the men who are killing his former U.S. Army unit, the 110th MP Special Investigations Unit. It leads to him reuniting with some of the former members to try and find out who is murdering their friends.
The deeper the team dives, the more they begin to realize that the people involved with the murders have bigger plans in store, with potential terrorist attacks at the forefront of their minds. Reacher and his team must stop the men trying to acquire the bombs before they end up in the wrong hands.
