Queen of Tears Episode 6 was a pretty jam-packed installment, but the biggest development was saved until the very end, with Hae-in finding out about Hyun-woo’s original intentions to divorce her. And just as things were starting to look up! With Eun-seong’s meddling having implicated Hyun-woo in a whistleblowing scandal, there is going to be plenty for Episodes 7 & 8 to unpack when they debut on Netflix next week.
Queen of Tears Episodes 7 & 8 Will Test Hyun-woo
Hyun-woo Will Be In The Firing Line
It’s obvious that Hyun-woo is going to have some explaining to do in Episode 7. The fact he was caught red-handed about the divorce, which is true, only makes him look more guilty of the whistleblowing, which isn’t true. His professional and personal reputation will be attacked on both sides.
It’s going to be difficult for Hyun-woo to fend off the attacks, especially with Hae-in furious about the divorce, but I’m still inclined to believe that the two of them will end up siding with each other. Hae-in knows Hyun-woo’s character better than anyone, and his recent efforts at saving their marriage have been so sincere that they have to count for something. Right?
Hae-in’s Health Remains A Problem
There are indications of both Hae-in’s blackouts and hallucinations continuing to cause problems for her, and her undergoing the therapy that she’s technically too unwell to safely receive. Will this badly backfire? It’s certainly a possibility.
Eventually, though I don’t expect it to happen this soon, I do believe that Hae-in’s worsening health will overwhelm all other considerations and the show will focus on the drama of her impending demise. This is where the real emotional meat is likely to be, and where the chickens will come home to roost thematically speaking, with Hyun-woo and Hae-in finally realizing how they feel about each other when it’s too late for either of them to do anything about it.

Queen of Tears Season 1 Episode 7 will be released on Netflix on March 30th, 2024. The usual release time is 3:00 pm (BST), but sometimes this varies. Queen of Tears Season 1 Episode 8 will air at the same time the next day, March 31st. Each episode has an approximate runtime of around 60-80 minutes.
