WARNING: THIS ARTICLE CONTAINS MAJOR SPOILERS

It’s only fitting that Season 1 of Jurassic World: Chaos Theory has a chaotic ending with the idea that there will be a few more seasons. For example, where The Nublar Six (now called the “Camp Fam”) were fighting a conspiracy at Camp Cretaceous, they are now fighting an unfolding plot in the real world. Episode 10 shows the surprise that Cabrera has been selling dinosaurs to wealthy suitors, much to the disgust of the Camp Fam.

Darius pleads with him, stating that the DWP protects humans from dinosaurs, not endangers them. However, the answers are few and far between in the final episode, as Cabrera confirms he was only meant to scare Brooklynn and has been sending threats on Dark Jurassic. Ben, as always, is foolishly brave and attacks Cabrera, leading to Sammy kicking the guy over. The genuine concern is the need to save Bumpy.

Whistle Woman and Dinosaur Attacks

But then, horror proceeds as the facility locks down, and the woman with the whistle (who is still not named, so I’ll call her “Whistle Woman”) arrives. Cabrera is irritated that she’s here, but then Jensen shows up, standing by her, implying that Cabrera is not in charge. He tells Cabrera that he’s been calling the shots on the dinosaur cargo the whole time. And then Cabrera contextualizes his thoughts and claims that these two killed Brooklynn on purpose.

I suppose it’s a little irritating that we are getting half-answers ten episodes into this series, but it’s possible that the writers needed to get into the meat of this conspiracy in Season 2.

The Whistle Woman’s dinosaurs chase after Cabrera, kill him, and then proceed to chase after the Camp Fam. From here, Episode 10 is pretty much chaos, with Mateo turning up in a lorry to save them and several dinosaurs trying to kill humans while fighting each other. The finale writers wanted to have fun and gave it to the audience.

Anyway, after a lot of dinosaur action, Jensen tries to facilitate the sale of dinosaur eggs to a broker, but he meets his end, too, as a dinosaur chomps him up. As for the Whistle Woman, she holds off commanding her dinosaurs further as the police arrive, so the mystery of who she is and why continues.

Also, the mystery of who is trying to kill the Camp Fam is still unresolved at the end of Season 1, and plenty more answers are to come.

Season 1 Ends With A Major Twist Regarding Brooklynn

And then, Season 1 of Jurassic World: Chaos Theory ends with the narrative building for Season 2. Darius tells Camp Fam that he wants to stay and fight; he admits to Kenji that if he truly loved Brooklynn, he would have been there for her, but he felt embarrassed because he didn’t feel like she was reciprocating (a routine story of the emasculated man in the “friend zone”).

Darius wants to find out who is hunting them and why. The Camp Fam all agree to help him, bringing back feelings of Camp Cretaceous. They head onto the departing dinosaur cargo ship, hoping this will lead to answers.

However, the major twist comes right at the end. An alive Brooklynn is communicating with one of the DWP officers in a secret location. She sees the news that Cabrera is dead, and she posts on Dark Jurassic. She’s alive and is unfolding the conspiracy in the shadows. Noticeably, she’s lost one of her hands, confirming the blood was not due to her death but by the Allosaurus injuring her badly. It’s a good twist, but it was easy to guess after a few episodes, especially when Brooklynn’s death was vague.

I imagine Brooklynn believes it is safer to work in secret against whoever is trying to kill them than for people to know she’s alive, which makes for an exciting story for Season 2.
