- Led by Lee Do-gyu, Baekho recruits former special forces operatives, high-ranking agents, and elite fighters to tackle off-the-books, high-risk assignments.
- Because Baekho operates independently of intelligence agencies, its operatives aren’t tied down by international treaties or red tape.
Drafting a Potential Season 2 Premise
If Season 1 was about survival and protecting family, Season 2 could explore the cost of staying out of the shadows. With Kim officially declared “dead” by both North and South Korean intelligence, he cannot rely on government back channels or employment. Working under Baekho allows Kim to earn a living to support Min-ji’s future, provided he can keep his missions hidden from her, which would be no mean feat.
In Season 1, the narrative was driven by personal vendettas and threats. Under Baekho Recruitment Agency, Season 2 could transition into a more specific episodic thriller, for example, protecting high-value targets, infiltrating rival security corporations and networks, or, stretching it even further, encounters with other legendary combatants within the PTJ Universe.
Season 2 could also see the Ahjussi trio reunited, bringing all three middle-aged dads (Kim, Han-su, Jin-cheol) into the fold, continuing a dynamic of action, humour and banter.
