When the Stars Gossip has been, thus far, a very strange and silly show, with a far-out premise about fertilizing eggs in space and a lot of low-stakes slapstick to pad out the episode runtime.

It’s easy to forget – especially in Episode 7, which contains two pretty cold-blooded executions and the threat of several others – that Star Wars: Skeleton Crew is a kids’ show.

“Obsessed” is a fitting title for the midseason premiere of High Potential. Morgan is obsessed, for instance, with solving crimes, spouting off random facts about everything.

Brilliant Minds kept its audience on tenterhooks for weeks after collapsing a building on one of its key cast members and heading off for a midseason hiatus.

Stick with me here as this is a slightly weird thing to say on just Episode 2, but When the Stars Gossip is almost like the anti-K-Drama.

Despite being popular enough to secure Season 2, little adjustment seems to have been made between seasons to iron out some of the issues.

Oh, look, another steady, contemplative episode of Landman. Is that what we need in Episode 9, one removed from the finale, when the previous outing ended with a cartel SUV being hit by a U.S. military drone?

It’s fair to say that sci-fi isn’t exactly a go-to genre for K-Drama, and sci-fi-comedy even less so, which makes When the Stars Gossip an especially curious choice for a Netflix series.

When the Phone Rings is clearly the kind of show that delights in keeping its audience guessing (and close to a health event).

It’s about time that Martian’s secrets and lies caught up to him, and Episode 7 of The Agency feels like the point of no return for him.

Episode 8, “The Book of Quinn”, does manage to progress the overarching story with surprisingly even-handed consideration for everyone, especially the many residents of Silo 18.

Creature Commandos has been at its best and worst based on the strength of its flashback sequences, and Episode 6, “Priyatel Skelet”, is no different in that regard.

I’ve already asked for more Eric Frankenstein in Creature Commandos, and Episode 5, “The Iron Pot”, grants that request. And thank goodness!
